The BEST results I’ve had from any Acupuncturist I’ve ever been to. So easy to find, park outside and a lovely cosy room.
Went with so many issues and week by week I have got so much better and feel the best I have in years. I also had the herbal tablets which have really helped too.
Would certainly go back and so pleased I’ve found a genuine, lovely practitioner, who really knows his stuff…

Having tried many medications to manage my Lupus and Fibromyalgia, I went to see Dr.Lai hoping Chinese Acupuncture would help. He looked at my issues through a holistic lense and was able to rectify both the fatigue and hip pain I had been experiencing for many months. I first contacted Dr Lai in June 2018. I had been suffering from neck ache and migraines for many years. A migraine could last for a week and was very debilitating. Within weeks of treatment from Dr Lai my neck was supple again and I no longer suffered migraines. I still don’t. Recently, I was back in touch with Dr Lai for a long-standing groin injury. I had fallen 10 years previously and had been seen by various therapists but, all to no avail. I was told by one therapist that it was down to my age!!! I was a carer at the time and did not have the energy to look after myself and pursue the issue so, I learned to live with it. My circumstances changed in May 2020 and so, I decided it was time to take care of myself. I visited Dr Lai and once again within weeks the injury was rectified. I am now able to walk and exercise without causing myself pain. Quickly following on from this I sneezed and seized my back. Dr Lai has once again come to the rescue. I have no qualms about recommending Dr Lai. I trust Dr Lai implicitly and feel well looked after in his company which, is important when you are a woman and feeling vulnerable. For nearly a year I have suffered from what I have been told are pressure/primary headache, basically whenever I sneeze/cough/struggle with a toilet motion or bend forwards, a sharp instant pain appears on top of my head, I even hold the top of my head in a vain failed attempt to minimise the pain, the pain lasts up to 4/5 mins then dissipates, until the next episode.

My GP recommended a CT scan, the results showed no visible problem, and to manage, pain killers were suggested, I have to say the NHS were excellent in trying to assist with the ongoing issue.

I did not feel that for the ongoing future that was a course I wanted to follow, so for my sins looked at internet for alternative treatments, acupuncture looked favourable, in that it appeared to offer a possible solution, now at £50 a pop, and being a 69 year old sceptic, it did not look a really attractive proposition, wow was I wrong, booked to see Dr Jonathan Lai, courteous, professional and comforting advice was given at a totally FREE no obligation consultation, still unsure, and with no relief from the head pains, I booked a an acupuncture session, after having 8 to 12 needles placed on various points of feet, hands and head and not feeling them being placed on me, then lying on a couch for 30+ minutes, followed by a neck, head and shoulder massage, I left still not sure, I can now confirm after 5 sessions over a period of 7 weeks, along with a course of various Chinese herbal tablets @ £15, and no I don’t know what was in the tablets, although it was written on side of canister in english, I not only feel great, but have not suffered any further head pains, now maybe I wanted to believe this would work, and so my mindset was preset to positive, I don’t really care, I just know that I do not have any head pain, Dr lai, has recommended a visit every 6 to 7 weeks, for what he calls maintenance, not compulsory just a suggestion, with absolutely no pressure to continue.

I would highly recommend Dr Lai, not a free option like the NHS, but in my case well worth the cost, IT WORKED 4 ME

Last year I was suffering with osteoarthritis in both hands. After a course of treatment with Dr Lai I am now pain free and no longer drop things.During this treatment he mentioned that my circulation was very poor, he also tackled that problem and I no longer suffer poor circulation.

In October 2019 I suffered a severe bout of Shingles.Following a course of pain killers and patches my GP said, they could not give any further help. It was the end of the road. Dr Lai said he could help. He did acupuncture, massage and gave me herbal tablets. Happily I am now back to full health.
