My review is not on the hospital itself but on the system that allocates a patient with stage 4 liver disease and prostate cancer an appointment in over 4 months time. As the referrals are triaged I can only assume I no longer have any value and the doctor who triaged my referral is employing his own method of eugenics.
If this is not the case then the NHS is no longer fit for purpose and is Dead.

My wife and I have both had appointments today - a skin biopsy at RHH for myself, and a colonoscopy at the NGH for my wife. We have both been treated with kindness, dignity and respect. There was no waiting or delays and we were both kept fully informed of what was happening throughout our procedures. We are so lucky to have this Trust looking after us in Sheffield. Huge shoutouts and thanks to the Dermatology Team and the NGH endoscopy team - you are all absolute stars.

Just had the misfortune of having to contact their diabetic eye screening department. Probably the most unhelpful and disinterested person I have ever spoken to. Needs a refresher from top to bottom. Obviously doesn’t like her job so should move on (preferably not customer related) and save us all from her attitude. Better still have the booking service online

Very friendly nursing staff of G ward gynecology.
I was admitted twice and both times they look after me with very friendly gesture and professional attitude I must say.

Just dropped off a relative at the drop of area At entrance 5 for surgery. Literally as soon as they crossed the road and I got on my phone to enter a destination on sat nav, as I’m not from the area, a man walked to my window knocking on it, telling me I had been there for 5 mins and had to move on. I tried to explain to him that I had just dropped someone off no more than seconds ago, and was looking at how to get out, but he wasn’t bothered and just walked away to another car while i was still trying to explain. On his way back I asked for his name, as I wasn’t happy with how rude he was to me, but he refused, and asked for my name, which was irrelevant. He didn’t have any ID on him or any sort of uniform which would indicate he worked for the trust. He then told me his name to which I won’t repeat on here, but if staff are as rude as he was at the entrance of the hospital it doesn’t leave a great impression for the trust.

I was visiting my daughter in Sheffield and had trouble with my eyes. I attended the eye clinic walk in centre on Wed 7 Mar and I was out within 15 mins having seen the receptionist, been assessed by the nurse and then seen the nurse practitioner and given steroid eye drops. What a wonderful service. Thank you so much.

The Stonegrove Centre, part of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.

A truly humbling experience, a place full of utterly lovely, dedicated human beings from reception through to nurses, doctors and trainee staff.

I couldn't speak highly enough of our experience earlier this week. Thank you Lauren, Leanne, Dr Greg and everyone else at the centre who made us feel so very much at ease.

I was tested positive for Coronavirus. Wasn't well, I thought I had another stroke but the mri scan was clear. The nurses were so lovely and they put they lives to look after us. I have been to hospital 3 times in the past 5years because I had a stroke which they gave me 24hours to live but im here. Every single time I go I have nurses who look after me well. Well done 👏
