My mam, who will soon be 92, came to Lambton House on the 31st Dec 2024 and was immediately made to feel so welcome.The carers and all of the staff are wonderful and so they are lovely to her.
Being geographically far from Lambton House (I live in the South of France) and as my mam has more trouble communicating on the phone these days, I really do find the social media posts most useful.
A huge thank you also for all the photos and messages I receive personally to let me know my mam is getting on.
There are so many different activities and events going on and my mam is always encouraged to join in and do what she can handle.
My mam seems happy and I know she is safe, being in good hands thanks to the kind and compassionate carers. This is very comforting when I leave my mam to head back to France.
Lambton House is a happy place to be as everyone is so welcoming and smiling. Thank you so very much for your devotion to the residents and for all of the energy and personal investment.
Challenging work which is much appreciated.

Have to say that since out parents moved into Lambton House last October the team there could not have done more to help them settle in. The level of care and attention provided is truly first rate as are the amenities and activities provided. We found the experience of choosing a care home to be quite stressful but were guided through the process with great advice from Glen and have absolutely no regrets with our choice.

We've been working with Lambton House for a few years now and they're a fantastic team to work with. They genuinely care about going the extra mile for their residents. I love the gardens, the pub, the tearoom- and the Harrods tea was a lovely treat 🙂

Excellent independent care home in Houghton Le Spring. Very well run by the staff, with a huge range of daily activities to keep the residents entertained.
I've had the pleasure of performing here several times and its always a joy.

Where do i start?
As a visiting Care Home Entertainer for many years now, I have performed so many shows at Lambton House, including the Covid days in the lovely garden.
The staff are amazing, they never stop yet always look so enthusiastic, as if they aren't actually at work.
During my shows, the Carers have the residents up dancing, making sure they all have a brill time then we see the treats trolleys come round (duty free trolleys) as I call them haha, so much so I recently started nicknaming the place Lambton House Social Club.
If you are reading this and have half a chance of a place for a family member, go for it. Its lovely, and summer time the garden and clubhouse are stunning. We are blessed in the northeast with some fab care homes and Lambton House is right up there with the best.

My mother in law was a resident in Lambton House until she passed away .,She received nothing less than exemplary care, and attention . The staff are attentive, and so kind . The residents have a wide variety of daily activities to choose from , should they wish. We enjoyed live entertainment in the summer in the wonderful garden with other relatives of the residents , and were served drinks from the garden bar ! My mother in law looked forward to having her hair done weekly in the hair salon , and her hands and nails pampered . Nothing is spared in this wonderful Care Home , and I would have no hesitation an all , about recommending it to anyone who wants the very best of care for their loved one .

We often pop into the care home for a visit. The staff there are always superb. Very professional and clearly caring. The management team are always there to help. Highly recommended.
