Be careful parking here when attending appointments!! I had an appointment on 03/12 and was delayed checking in because a lady was at the front desk disputing a parking fine she’d received, they told her the system was down when she had her appointment a couple of weeks prior and that she had to appeal, which understandably she wasn’t happy about as it wasn’t her fault. I thought nothing more of it except I was grateful for the reminder to give my own reg as they don’t bother prompting you for it when you check in so it can be easy to forget, especially if you’re in a rush or have been waiting a while. 2 weeks later I have received my own parking fine, so I’ve just called to query it and been told the same thing - the system was down at the time of my appointment so I have to appeal. Why bother taking my reg if they knew the system was STILL down at that point It must’ve been weeks and they obviously never bothered sorting it. It’s their error and yet they expect us to be the ones to resolve it. This practice is just absolutely awful and they clearly do not care about their patients at all.

Getting an appointment is so hard !!!!!! I work till 9am and can't call at 8am so when I do ring to wait sometimes over an hour to be told there's no appointments and try again the next day . This used to be a very good practice whats changed? After trying this time for an appointment for over 2 weeks I was advised to use Econsult on Web and they will then ring me with an appointment ( I am waiting to see if this is a good opinion) , why not allow all patients the chance and look at the booking system so everyone can see a doctor or nurse without spending 2 weeks ringing every day to be told nothing available at the moment .

My daughter had her bloods taken at the Pallion Health Centre today in Sunderland. The nurse tried to get some blood from my daughter today using her left arm. The nurse poked her twice but was not successful. The nurse then placed the used needle on the tray, touching its key parts, thus making this very unsterile. She then picked up the same used needle from the tray to obtain some blood from my daughter's right arm and tried 2x before getting the blood successfully. This practice is definitely a RED FLAG! Using the same needle and the needle was left on the tray touching its key parts and went straight into my daughter. This is very unacceptable! No aseptic technique and very dangerous! As a nurse myself, I have the duty of candour to report this matter and should not be tolerated. I felt really sad for my daughter, and I should have stopped her. This is very inappropriate and does not comply with the NMC rules and regulations. I hope that you will act on this matter as this is a red flag!

Fantastic understanding of my situation and an absolute focus on getting things right for me.
Everyone I've spoken to or had an appointment with has been really professional but also friendly and put me at ease every time.
So pleased I moved to this practice.

This is part of Pallion Health Centre. Doctors that do telephone consultations as well as face to face appointments, staff are pleasant and helpful. Sometimes have to wait. It is upstairs but has a lift and stairs, easily accessible from local bus stop 10,20, 8 right outside. 11, 16, and others short walk away. Sunderland Royal Hospital is 2 minutes walk away. There is a free car park but you need to get your registration authorised. A pharmacy is attached next to main entrance

The booking sistem dose not work. For appointment you need to call at 8am waint in a queue that can last uo to 45 minutes only to be told, that all appointments are fully booked and to try calling again the next day. I have tried 7 times now with no success this is frustrating and unacceptable.

For someone never been off a days sick in my life and not knowing the process. I feel utterly let down by the system to see a doctor. I was told to call at 8am when appointments were made available, which I did, was in a queue for 45 minutes only to be told when I eventually got through, that all appointments are fully booked today and to try calling again tomorrow. The NHS staff do a remarkable job but the current system is flawed and must make their job so frustrating.
