I’m a proud man, I’ve always had good jobs in the past and live a civilised lifestyle, never did I think I’d need to trouble a food bank with my issues but I got to the point that I had no choice as all my options had dried up. After getting a voucher for a food parcel I turned up here not knowing what to expect or the reception. On arrival I was met with friendly, kind and thoughtfully understanding people. No judgement only helpful faces. When I got home and unpacked my parcel I broke down in tears by the kindness of strangers, the community of angels that think about others that are truly at their wits end more than others. I can only say if you really need to access a food ask please do- do NOT feel you don’t deserve a helping hand, I hope to start full time employment so won’t need to use again- this was a one off but you must use this service if you have no choice- if you can donate any items that may help people less fortunate than you please do.
