Husband took me in the car for an interview, he drove off to tescos to buy bread to then come back to pick me up. We have received a parking fine for coming into the area twice. We were less then 24 minutes in total. Disgusting behaviour from a parking company, people beware! It's not the surgery's fault as such but if I was told sooner I would of informed my husband not to enter the carpark .

Very poor experience, avoid. No help whatsoever to my problem. I got more help by reading online about my problem and from some friends then actual doctor. Not sure if this man was actually a doctor though as he seemed clueless and did not try to understand the problem other than tell me I need to take painkillers and wait for the pain to subside, if it won’t i should come back after 4 weeks. No proper examination cause he couldn’t see properly. How about offer me an appointment with a specialist instead sending home if he couldn’t help or understand the problem

I sent a repeat prescription . When i went to chemist to pick up medications two items had been refused. 1. Methotrexate. I slwzys have a blood test when asked and i havny been asked so when i stopped this medication before i wss in hospital vis ambulance for a week. 2 treseiba insulin. I am s diabetic and yet york medical group seem to think it is ok to just refuse an insulin without telling me or explaining why. Are doctors looking at these prescription requests?

I would kike a call from a doctor to explain why this has happened.

I'm visiting from Australia and have a suspected sinus infection. I do have a national insurance number but I've been leaving overseas for so long I was quite prepared to pay private fees. So I thought it would be quick and easy to get an appointment. I thought wrong! I was on hold for ages and ages listening to recorded messages inviting me to sod off and leave the service to people more deserving than me. When I finally got though, I was told I would have to first register as a patient of the practice - WHICH WOULD TAKE DAYS. No I'm not making this up. So I gave up.

A fine example of a GP practice governed to put make money before supporting their patients!

Very sad to see this practice deteriorate over the years.

Still has great Doctors, Doctor Hammond, for example but just not getting it right with complicated appointment requests having to be made online!

People who are ill, or suffering in any way want a quick and easy way to book an appointment - when using the service I was asked to lie and exaggerate my symptoms (by a member of the YMG staff) in order to get an appointment.

The practice is just not set up correctly

My son fell ill recently, and after speaking to the receptionist, we were able to secure a same-day appointment. Dr. Hammond was exceptional, demonstrating outstanding manners and professionalism. Your continued excellent service is appreciated.

The doctors and staff are trying their very best under difficult circumstances. Overworked, and still try and do their best for their patients. I have been very fortunate, obviously frustrated, but it is not the doctors, nurses and reception's fault. Please patients, they only human and working very long hours.
