I have had flu symptoms for four days that are not passing but worsening and an eye infection that is seemingly due to immune suppression. The response to my urgent appointment? Go to the opticians.

Seemingly York Medical Group are happier that I pay for another service and potentially spread my illness around the city. Nice.

Such a poor practice all round. Their Klinic booking system sums it up. It not even spelt correctly and that’s because it’s a Dutch system! The reception staff need to attend a customer service course, so unhelpful, unsympathetic and dam right rude. I’m going to look into going private or finding another surgery.

A very good practice. I have been a patient for many years now and have received excellent care from friendly staff from Reception to the Doctor's. The new telephone system is my only complaint - it is truly awful. I held on for 37 minutes the other day!

As a junior doctor currently working in another GP practice, I must say I have been thoroughly disappointed by the accessibility of this GP Practice. I have submitted klinik forms several times and have either received links which did not last more than 24 hours or did not hear back or had my case closed as I submitted a form on Friday evening. When calling reception- and waiting half an hour each time- I was told they cant do anything and I have to just try again. It makes me worry for the more vulnerable members of society who will really struggle to use the Klinik service and get in touch with a GP when they might need it most. GPs are struggling themselves and this organisational barrier to healthcare is truly appalling. YMG must address and fix this. I would not recommend this practice.

One year later and still not a response! That's what we get. In the June will be a 1 year since we have handed in some insurance paperwork to be filled by GP after several calls, email and begging to get back to us. Still nothing!!!! Only response over phone we get every time I call is that we don't know anything only can see that is on person desk to be done. Shame our family can't get the help they need financially because of that! I understand that it busy and everyone needs help but simply not good enough!!!!
