I find the reception staff really unhelpful, uncaring and cold. I went there recently to say that I felt nauseous and I got dismissed by the reception staff saying I have to fill in a form I really don't understand what the receptionist do, when they could of easily fixed me an appointment. Also for several months they kept on farming out my repeat prescriptions to different pharmacies even though I already had assigned a local pharmacist and had gone in several times to the surgery and written about this which caused me a lot of stress. Eventually the practice manager rang me up pointing this out five months later!. I am in the process of looking for another NHS practice . Before Covid you could ring and see a Doctor now its all online as a result its forcing some of us to go private but not everyone can afford to do so.

I am extremely disappointed with the service. The receptionist is consistently cold and unapproachable, making every interaction feel like an inconvenience to her.

More importantly, I had a serious issue dismissed by one of their doctors, who barely examined me before claiming it was ‘nothing.’ He seemed uninterested and dismissive despite my concerns. I later had the issue removed privately, and the biopsy confirmed it was skin cancer—all while I am 8 months pregnant.

This level of negligence is unacceptable. I trusted this clinic with my health, and they failed me. I strongly advise others to think twice before relying on their care.

I have immensely enjoyed my time at Lilyville Surgery, and I am truly grateful for the incredible experience I have gained during my placement here. As a third-year medical student, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a primary care setting, which has been an invaluable part of my clinical education. One of the most rewarding aspects of this placement was the chance to run our own student-led clinics. This experience allowed us to apply our theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, develop our clinical reasoning, and refine our patient communication skills. It was both a challenging and rewarding experience, and I feel that I have grown significantly in both confidence and competence as a future doctor.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the patients who were kind enough to take the time to speak with us, share their concerns, and allow us to be part of their healthcare journey. Their patience and willingness to engage with us made this learning experience truly meaningful.

I am also incredibly grateful to Dr. Chan and Dr. Fung for their support and guidance throughout my time at the practice. Their dedication to teaching, their willingness to share their expertise, and their encouragement made a world of difference to my learning. They created an environment where we felt comfortable asking questions, discussing cases, and reflecting on our experiences. Their ability to balance teaching with patient care was truly inspiring, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from such brilliant supervisors.

Additionally, I would like to thank the entire team at Lilyville Surgery, who contributed to making this placement such a positive and enriching experience.

Would give less than one star if possible. Tried to book an appointment through Patch at 8.06 received a message back at 8:11 stating I would receive a call. Waited for hours before calling back to see if anyone knew approximate waiting times. Unfortunately the receptionist was unable to say. I then called back at 18:03 and decided to cancel my call as the surgery closed at 18:30. I found when telling the receptionist they were quick to hang up. Anything could have happened in the time waiting absolutely ridiculous. I will be going to the walk in instead. Instead of trying to book an appointment just go to the walk in you will at least be guaranteed to be seen

Dr Chan was wonderful and really helped with our autistic child. The staff were fantastic at fitting us in at the end of the day with no appointment. We’re really touched with the level of care shown. Thank you

Thank you Lilyville - I always receive great service from all the team here. The PATCHS system works well and the reception team go to great lengths to get appointments booked in as soon as possible. With my young children we are often seen the same day as submitting a request and always a kind, friendly service. Thank you all.

The front desk staff at this practice are rude and unprofessional. Patients often feel unwell and deserve kindness, not snapped responses or interruptions. Basic politeness and empathy are sorely lacking.

The reliance on the Patches app is also frustrating—it’s not user-friendly, and staff refuse to book appointments in person. Why is it so hard to accommodate simple requests? This practice urgently needs to retrain its staff and improve its systems.

Saw Dr Chan’s two ‘trainees’, Zak and Ani, for second time. Not quite sure what more they need to learn but they are clearly getting fantastic guidance from Dr Chan. Think yesterday was their last day at Lilyville - I wish them well and miss them already!
