I would recommend it for work related stays of scientists but not for families or private holidays.

I was there because of measurements at the Neutron Facility across the street.
Thus the location was very good and it has plenty of parking.

I was not able to close my door silently as it is heavy and has a stiff handle. As many scientists stay there overnight and sometimes have to go to the research centre at night, it is sometimes difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The room misses some hooks to hang clothes on the wall. The bathroom was clean but felt very practical and not "fashionable" at all.

The breakfast was tasty with friendly staff.

Description of the hotel:
- practical, good bed, clean, good breakfast
- not romantic or luxurious, not family friendly, no high-tech or high quality
- good view for scientists, as the view is a research facility
- no nearby activities, no nearby restaurants

It's always a delight to lodge here whenever I come for research at Harwell. The rooms are spacious and tidy, making you feel at home. The bathrooms are spotless. Breakfast is generously served with various options, so there's something for everyone. Highly recommended

Great place to stay if visiting Diamond Light or the campus. Excellent shower (you have to ask for gel/shampoo, free), comfortable room with pull down blackout blind. Breakfast is good, no dinner though however the nearby Dish is great. Drinks available for purchase at reception.
The Ridgeway trail is close but not easily accessible due to security fences etc. You have to walk north then east to a footpath.
Buses from Didcot are frequent and take 20 minutes, bus stop is very close

It's not a hotel. It's a guesthouse for RAL.|The staff are very unhelpful and rude. There are no toiletries available (only one soap bar if you are lucky).|The rooms are noisy, when peoplae are walking down the corridor.Breakfast is ok, but not brilliant (everything is kept under heat lamps and dry and overcooked).

It’s unlikely you are staying here by choice. But that doesn’t matter. It’s simple, clean and comfortable. The rooms are refurbished and for most experimental stays you will be fine. There are no toiletries provided in the rooms. You can buy stuff from reception and they will give you a tiny tube of shower gel for free. Breakfast is excellent, really no complaints.

Convenient to stay for visits at the Harwell Campus (experiments, conferences, etc.). Spacious rooms, good breakfast and fairly clean.
Only negative note is the lack of air-con in the rooms. In the hottest days of the year rooms are turned into a furnace and there is hardly any way to cool them down by opening windows and using the fans provided.

Great place to stay when visiting the research campus! The rooms are standard with a suitable desk and chair to work if you wish to do so. The room I stayed in did not have a socket near the bedside which made charging a bit more of a hassle but doable. Bathroom was clean and the water was hot and enough pressure to take a shower. The windows were a little hard to open fully, which is something I wished was possible in warm weather.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was great and you had a choice between full english breakfast, croissants, granola, yoghurt, etc. coffee machine was a bit temperamental but always quickly fixes by the staff (like I said very friendly and helpfull).

Be prepared that there are very few things to do around outside of research and travel to and from is quite restricted in hours as are other locations, making it hard to enjoy your free time. There is a nature reserve near and it would be nice if there were bikes or something for hire to explore the surrounding area. or something like a gym to workout after being done with your work.
but overall a very nice place to stay!
