I cannot heap enough praise on Hedgehog Cabin – she is a warm, dedicated and selfless champion of our unfortunate dwindling population of hedgehogs in the UK and works to help them 24/7. She has been officially recognised for her expertise and received two awards for her work in supporting these vulnerable animals. She is also a genuine font of knowledge regarding their care and protection and has many, many followers. I have received great advice whenever I contact her and would not hesitate to pass an injured animal into her expert care.

I found hedgehog cabin whilst looking for information about how to attract hedgehogs into my garden. I then began to follow them on X Twitter. The lady who runs the Hedgehog Cabin is called Pauly. She is a true hedgehog champion and an excellent educator. She is the only source of information I trust when it comes to hedgehogs and how to help them. She updates her X account regularly with pictures and videos of the Hedgehogs that have come into her care and you can see first hand the love she has for each and every one of them and her tireless determination to do everything she can to heal them and give them a second chance at life. She runs the best hedgehog hospital around!
Pauly is a lovely, genuine lady who's selfless dedication to helping poorly hedgehogs and educating everyone is inspiring. The experience, knowledge, advice and support she offers to her very many followers is invaluable, she really is an expert when it comes to hedgehogs.
Possibly this is the reason why she was very recently chosen out 1000's to be 1 of 4 finalists in the BBC make a difference awards 2024!

My interaction dates back to quite some time ago, but having read the reviews, I am surprised at the polar opposites. They are either 5* at how fantastic and helpful she is, or she is incredibly rude. My experience was that I found her uninterested and unhelpful.

I had an unwell hedgehog that needed help, I had no idea what to do and whilst I appreciate she was busy, if you're on Google, you're going to get people contacting you, so the expectation would be to either to take the hedgehog in so it can receive the attention it needs, or to give guidance on what to do. I got neither.

I knew of one other hedgehog rescue in the area, but they were full, so I took the long drive to Hart Rescue. They are fantastic and that is where I go with all rescues now.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I also believe in being honest, hence posting this. If you are fortunate enough to have hedgehogs and they need rescue, and you take it here, just be aware, it may be a difficult experience

My go-to rescue for hedgehogs, knowledgeable, sanitary, experienced, polite and happy to share knowledge and information. I've taken some very poorly hogs every one has been rehabilitated. Thanks to Pauly's expertise, I now have a thriving hedgehog population visiting my garden

Hi, I took a poorly baby hedgehog to the cabin, sadly my little one didn't make it. The lovely ladies did there best but sadly she was to far gone. But with there advice I have put a feeding station near to where I found it and I'm very happy to say hedgehogs are using it. Thank you so much for all the great advice and the wonderful work you do. An incredible lady who does amazing things. She has provided so much excellent advice to me that we now have a population of 5 healthy hedgehogs living/visiting/ dining in our garden. She gives her whole life to looking after these beautiful creatures in her cabin and helping to educate everyone to look after what hedgehog population we have left for years to come.
