I have always been impressed with this surgery. I often hear stories from my employees that are unable to get an appointment and have long waiting lists.
I called at 920 had an appointment at 940, blood tests at 10 am! As close to private medical cover you can get if not better!
This is not a one off incident either, I have always had this level service and the doctors here have taken the time out to private call me with any updates even if bother to report.

Can’t say enough good things about this surgery and the staff, they are all just amazing. They’ve been absolutely brilliant, all so friendly and approachable. Never been to a doctors surgery like it. Keep up the good work guys, you’ve made normally a really tough time so much easier to deal with, so glad that me and my family are with your surgery. Would highly recommend.

I have some great experiences and in some areas it is the best GP I have had. They are very polite and helpful and very kind. However, they booked me an appointment that was for someone else and told me they had a dummy patient for this type of problem. This is a patient confidentiality issue which shocked me and has made me nervous. Also, I could not get my regular medication as they did not have it in stock and the clinical pharmacist prescribed me a medication that a pharmacist told me is so old and rarely prescribed that he did not think was still made. I explained my medical issue yet the GP surgery made no attempt to find me an alternative where I resorted to going to my previous county to a pharmacist I know is really good to ask him. He sorted the situation for me and found my previous medication will be in stock soon. They have many good qualities however it has some negative ones that can be very frustrating and that I never had with my previous GP. I have just moved into the area so trying to withhold to much judgement and recognise there positive qualities.

I've used a lot of GPs and this is by far the best GP I have ever used. The receptionist are fantastic and incredibly helpful. I've never had to wait longer than 2 mins to get through the phone. Appointments readily available. Doctors overall are great and don't rush you out the door. They have services available at the practice like first contact physio appointments and counselling which is really helpful. A really great little GPs

Great practice, I have been coming in for roughly 8 weeks after having an operation and all the staff have been amazing. Especially everyone in reception trying to sort out all my appointments and help me with prescription. A big massive shoutout to nurse Sally Timmins, she has been my main nurse and has been great, very chatty and always making an effort!

I transferred to pool medical centre when I moved to the area earlier in the year and I have to say every time I’ve needed them they’ve been just nothing but fantastic. Every time I’ve needed a doctor I’ve managed to get an appointment on the same day, there was one occasion I needed a face to face and it was no problem at all, they got me booked in straight away. Most recently, I spoke to a doctor about my morning sickness as I’ve been suffering during my pregnancy and he was so helpful, understanding and kind, and prescribed me medication. I also rang a receptionist a bit later on that day to check something and she was just so polite and friendly, and sorted it for me immediately. I was previously at a different practice and I often came off the phone quite upset as the doctors were sometimes rude, rushed me off the phone or just spoke down to me and made me feel worse. I’ve been so happy so far with the care at this doctors so thank you.

I had such a bad experience with my previous surgery that I researched a new one thoroughly. I chose Pool Surgery. When I called to have an informal chat the receptionist was a breath of fresh air. As she was when I went into the surgery. Everyone was so friendly and that for me sealed the deal. I do have medical issues and I need to be able to trust the medical people from receptionists to doctors and not be patronised like I was at my previous surgery.
Thankyou Pool Surgery for making me feel welcomed and I would highly recommend this surgery to anyone.

They have been amazing throughout the covid times. I’m a carer for my mother & several times I have needed telephone appointments etc. The phone system works really well. Every doctor who has phoned me back has been helpful thorough and kind. The receptionists have also been really helpful & accommodating too! We’ve been with this practice for many years and I think it’s the best it’s ever been & I’ve always thought it was good.
