Contacting welshpool doctors this morning after struggling all week with a bad chest, i could not fault them right down to reception, nurse and then doctor, appointment given straight away. Faultless, diagnosed with chest infection and able to pick up perscription straight away from town. I can now hope i have a more comfortable weekend. Excellent service, well done welshpool.

My last review mysteriously vanished, though it broke no guidelines. As I said there, since several of the older doctors retired, there has been a deterioration in the attitude of doctors generally. Some are uncivil and dismissive, refusing to listen, and seemingly having forgotten that the public have paid for this service. They would never get away with such an attitude in private practice.

This medical centre seem to have a problem listening to patients and checking patients notes before prescribing medicine. Three times now I've had to remind them a patient who can't swallow can't take tablets or capsules as they won't go through the peg feed.

Saddened to see some reviews of this practice which are actually as much of a reflection on the reviewer(s). We moved into this area recently and compared with our previous experience with an NHS practice have always been treated professionally, courteously and, within the confines of the system, efficiently.
The online repeat prescription works well and I was pleased to get a call telling me when an item had not arrived, saving me a trip to the surgery. My expectations of this facility were moderate, and have been exceeded in almost all respects. Do as you would be done by.

I moved from Derbyshire from an excellent medical practice with a practice manager that had a monthly consultation group. This practice, while not perfect isn't anywhere near as bad as some have made out. I have no problem with my repeat prescriptions which are always ready for me to collect. No one has ever been rude to me and although I sometimes have a week to wait for an appointment there are worse things going on in the world. The decor could do with a facelift and I understand from the signage that it is being done. The doctors are always helpful as are the staff in the dispensary. I have been several times since I moved and this is a considered review not a spiteful rant based on one negative experience. Make of that what you will.

I can't relate to any of the negative comments below.

I was seen quickly by the doctor, who seemed engaged, took the information I gave her seriously and was empathetic. I was quickly referred for more tests. The reception staff were also lovely.

From my experience, it's a great practice.
