the receptionist was very rude and did not know how to handle situation when a patient receives a call and text message for urgently contacting the surgery the patient could be anxious and worried about the results she also refused to give her name, retaliated instead of hearing the patient calmly.
I think she needs more training with regards to handling situations in better way and firstly listening what patient has to say instead following the protocol at all times as part of rule she is suppose to give her name before she answers calls. Also there is lack of communication within the practice as clearly after I spoke to doctor someone called again saying I need to book an appointment to discuss the results clearly indicates how the query are handled within the practice.Lack of teamwork and staff training .

Rang the practice up complaining about the way I have been treated by them and they gave me an appointment the next day and got everything sorted with the GP and a plan in place. Very professional and exceeded my expectations.

Had a doctor's appointment this morning to review my tablets and had a phone appointment. The doctor just ordered my prescription without asking anything and only gave me 28 tablets. That's no good when I have to take them for months and it is £9.95 per prescription. Rang the doctors and said I can't do anything until next month now. What a joke. They wonder why men don't go to the doctor's and commit suicide!!!

Wonderful service from our GP surgery/Royal Blackburn hospital! Made a gp appt on line for yesterday with Dr H Ali, referred to hospital for xray later that morning. Got a text from the practice to ring and arrange a telephone appt to discuss results. Dr H Ali rang this afternoon, results discussed and treatment explained. Thankyou to Oakenhurst Medical Practice and our wonderful NHS!

A disgusting joke. You are just a number to the doctors and the staff, nothing more nothing less. Walk in to find multiple employees sat around joking and laughing at the receptions and when you become an inconvenience to them (by having an appointment) they treat you like a second class citizen. What do you get into the business of helping people for if you don’t like helping people? Hang your heads in shame, how do you sleep at night? Absolute scam. I’ll be changing as soon as possible. Okenhurst medical practice should be held accountable in court for malpractice, just take a look at the reviews. Around a 2/5 rating, this is a doctors surgery, in the UK, we’re talking about!?! The standard of care is completely devastating to patients. I have travelled the world and countries in a lot poorer positions have better health services, this is due to the duty of care that real doctors uphold and hold theirselves accountable to, Okenhurst medical practice needs to be investigated by a governing body, the reviews clearly show that something is dangerously wrong. Do not risk your life with practitioners who do not have your best interest at heart but instead want to sit drinking brews, eating biscuits, sitting around laughing at our misfortunes. Just disgusting, an absolute abomination.

Each individual within this practice are professional, knowledgeable and caring.

The practice is well run and organised, particularly so in these challenging times. Certainly far from easy.

Associate practitioner - she was excellent - so professional, friendly and knowledgable - I’m a nurse and know what to look for in a good consultation - could not fault her, so thorough and kind and even phoned me after to double check something - wouldn’t hesitate in seeing her again - thank you

Impossible to get through on the phone, after waiting for circa 2 mins of their messages telling you when you can ring up.
After finally getting a ringing tone rather than the constant engaged tone, I've waited for over 55mins "you are in position number 23!!" waiting to speak to one of their receptionists, and then been cut off!
They really need more investment in staff or phone lines.
Alright saying you're one of the biggest practices, but if you're failing your patients when they need to contact you it's no good for anyone!
It's a shame really because all of the doctors are great to talk to and offer a great service, once you get over the hurdle of the reception.
