My Godmother came to live with us just before receiving her diagnosis at 89 yrs old. She has been a weekly participant at The Hunter Centre and I can only say how wonderful it has been that she has attended. It has given me a little space and time that I sorely needed as the disease progressed... the staff supportive of both of us, I have been given access to a lot of information and support talks etc if needed; for my godmother unfailing kindness and wonderful care with added benefits like chiropody. It has also meant she has had some more structured time to do activities and keep her mind busier and engaged than it is possible all the time at home. Her afternoons of music she so enjoyed. Thank you everybody at The Hunter Centre, very appreciated.

My grandfather definitely was not the type to be into 'activities' - but he has loved every minute of being here. It helped him to accept his diagnosis too!
