My son attended EarLab at Haslemere Health Centre for microsuction. During the procedure he was advised to complete a course of antibiotic ear drops. Then to apply Sodium Bicarbonate ear drops for a week after the procedure to dissolve remaining earwax which could not be removed.

Having seen a nurse, two weeks later, due to continued hearing problems. We were informed that his ear was inflamed and damage had been caused to his ear, due to the procedure. We were also informed that ours was also not an isolated incident at EarLab. The nurse also informed us that Sodium Bicarbonate should not be applied to the ear because it is known to cause inflation.

I emailed EarLab to raise concerns about our experience, EarLab did not respond. This speaks volumes about the company.

Please avoid.

In response to EarLab response to my post, the email from EarLab went to my junk mail. I have since responding to their email and am waiting for a respose to address the issues I highlighted in both my email and review. I would like to point out that the issues that arose after the appointment with EarLab were not present before, when my son saw the prescribing nurse. The same nurse identified the issues after the appointment, so was aware of the problems my son had been experiencing. The nurse was also aware that EarLab had previously given other patients incorrect advice.

I stand by my review that we were given the wrong, outdated, advice.

This was my second visit to the Haslemere Ear Lab and the booking procedure was easy on line, the cost reasonable and the wait at the appointment time minimal.
The procedure was quick and painless and advice and explanation of what was being done was given readily.
The results are instant.
I will no doubt be making another appointment in a couple of years time and would recommend the Ear Lab to others.

Absolutely ripped off. £85 for about 30 secs of 'consultation'
No ear wax or debris found apart from piece of olive oil tissue as advised.
Was assured that if no ear wax removed price would be reduced to £50. I was still charged £85
When I questioned Tim via email he was most unhelpful and uninterested as he already had my money.
Apart from being asked if I had tinnitus that was the only health history taken which was added onto Darwins phone.
No written consent form was supplied and basically my word against them.
Misleading as held at Haslemere Health
basically they just rent a room.
Wish I had gone to the more thorough and cheaper and ethical Specsaver in Godalming
I would avoid this company at all cost

Me and my husband were very impressed. I have anxiety issues, but Darwin put me at ease straight away. He talked me through what was going to happen and during the process, and throughout was professional, very amiable and easy to talk to. The treatment itself was painless, and over quickly.
We’re both really happy with the service and the whole experience; my hearing is now restored perfectly. Will definitely use you again.
