I was admitted on Friday , for a prostrate operation . I cannot begin to thank the staff enough . I am mentally challenged . I was spoken to , like a human being & not just a number . Alissia who took care of me was wonderful . So caring . I cannot thank her enough . The rest of the staff , were again amazing . I don’t say this lightly . From the lovely lady , who mopped the floor . The lovely gentleman , who changed my bed . The very kind night staff . Thank you all for making my stay , as comfortable as possible . You are all a credit to the NHS . Will never forget your kindness . I should also mention the lovely man , & his team that put me to sleep , & also the team that carried out the operation . You all made me feel so at ease . I was in ward B2 ( I think ) . Bless you all . Paul Birchall .

I was recently discharged from ward b6 and I can confirm that 2 staff members went above and beyond to keep all patients happy and as comfortable as possible , your hospital is lucky to have these excellent workers !!! They are nurse Jocelyn and Michelle. If I ever come back to your hospital I hope to be in there care once again. Thanks for looking after at a difficult time.

Had a great experience here with the A&E team from Nurse Shelton all the way to the trauma ward T4 with nurses Nicola and Marie and paramedic Lee. Was taken great care of by the MRI team, spinal team, orthopaedics and staff despite a terrible injury and very thankful to all of those that helped and keep the NHS together!

Like a lot of hospitals this one is obviously badly understaffed these days. This review is not aimed at the staff let’s be clear, they did their best with what they had, but it makes me so angry to think how much I fork out in NI! Was sent here on a Friday night after doctor said they needed to rule out whether I had had a mini stroke. Arrived at 8pm and was triaged promptly by a lovely nurse. At 9pm had an ECG and bloods taken, was told 1.5-2 hours for blood results and then wait for a doctor to go through them with me. The waiting room was empty so I felt optimistic. Doctors kept appearing and calling out the names of people who were not even there, this happened about 20 times atleast! This only added to the palpable frustration. People were giving up after 5 hours and walking out untreated. I was not seen by a doctor until 7.15am. It was unbearable. There was a heavily pregnant lady there that they kept waiting for 10 hours. So so wrong. Turns out there was only 2 doctors available apparently, on a Friday night. Such a sorry, pathetic state, I will not go back to this hospital, I have been in much much busier waiting rooms with my mum, and yet the patients were dealt with more efficiently. This felt like the waiting room time had forgot, I think if someone came out every now and again and just assured people they were going to be seen, or explained the delay, that would help put people at ease, we all felt ignored or forgotten about.

I visited the emergency department and I must say that every nurse/doctor I came across was incredibly helpful and kind when assisting me. I felt comfortable and safe around these nurses/doctors. Thank you so much for your service

I was taken to what I think was aeu or maybe trauma with breathing difficulties. Treated with genuine care and compassion by nurse Shelton and Dr Jess both were patient, friendly, thorough I was made to feel like I was not an absolute nightmare to treat because of all the complications i presented.
Anyway Shelton accompanied me to x-ray and then to a CT scan a constant reassurance. I was diagnosed with a collapsed lung within a few hours. As it was Friday afternoon I expected to be left until Monday however just after 1600 I was taken to a radiology unit to have a chest drain from inserted with the help or use of CT scan. I was struggling to breathe and possibly slightly panicked Shelton was there and it was nice to have someone who cared and he did his best best to reassure and calm me the radiologists and respiratory consultant were professionals and this was apparent and helped to calm me slightly even though they were obviously concerned about my condition they were easy to trust..
The procedure was relatively painless and I was able to breathe better even before it was complete as promised. My deep gratitude to all involved unfortunately I am unable to remember all of their names.
After this I was taken to H2, welcomed by staff Nurse Leah. She was really nice friendly and caring, long story short I was discharged in good health 13days later.
Everyone on H2 was brilliant, warm and friendly caring. I was impressed with the food and accommodation but most of all the staff were amazing all special people I really can't thank them enough for being so nice to me and I'm home now but will genuinely miss them all.
Than you everyone on H2 you are all angels

This hospital is an absolute joke my brother has attended here on many occasions and they have fobbed him off so many times. They state waiting is so many hours yet you are waiting all night just to get a simple response back to what’s wrong with you it’s a disgrace. Also the way they have treated my family member is disgusting talking down to him snapping at him and having the most disgraceful attitude and behaviour towards him this is unacceptable behaviour for staff at a hospital. My family member is a vulnerable adult with Autism, ADHD and Anxiety and they think behaving this way to a human being that doesn’t understand the same as they do is acceptable I think not. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here as respect has gone out the window

Seven hours and still in the waiting area. staff are lovely but the method of being attended to obviously doesn't work, no refreshments to buy in waiting area so you will go hungry if your here alone. no water to drink seriously!!!!! no soap in toilets no hand sanitiser. Desperately needs looking into, hundreds being admitted no cleaner to check toilets ... just terrible organisation for such a busy area.
