Everything from start to finish was amazing service on my visit to a+e on 06/02. Working in a similar medical profession can be good but also more worrying when you know the worst case scenarios. I felt super safe, heard, looked after and felt all my questions were answered well. There aren't enough good reviews in the profession and I want to share my special thanks to in particular to Jacob the nurse who made me feel so at ease and was so attentive, Dr Matt Taylor, the EMT and paramedics and of course the surgeon consultant (sorry I can't remember everyones names it was a long night) who was so understanding and gave me the information and reassurance I needed. Thank you so much

Had my appendix removed here, 10/10 patient care would have organs removed here again.
Wow fully underfunded as most of the NHS is but the staff worked really hard and were kind, compassionate and caring.
Thanks to everyone who works there!

Went for a kidney infection and the head manager was WONDERFUL. She had to be requested however after the complete mistreatment I received from multiple staff members - who were all essentially clueless to my needs and issues. We were told multiple different things, no one still really explained what my problem was and when we were told we would be 3hrs we spent 14hrs waiting. I had to leave eventually as my mental health couldn’t take it and I had a panic attack after being put in a ward which I specifically requested not to be put in.

I received an email today demanding proof of my right to stay in the UK. The tone of the email was quite intimidating, suggesting that I would be charged for the entire treatment and that they would inform my GP to update their records because I didn't respond. However, I haven't received any email or letter from them. I also regularly check my spam and MyMFT. The woman who sent the email from the Overseas Chargeable Patients Service claimed she had sent it by post. I left the hospital just last week (Thursday), so it makes sense that I need a little time to receive the letter.

Why is there such a need to intimidate patients? Give us time to breathe; I am still recovering, show a bit of respect. I’ve been dealing with a heart infection, and I won't even mention the eight-hour wait I endured the first day, trying to see a doctor through incredible pain. I was asking for a doctor to explain to me what was going on for ten hours the day when I was admitted to the hospital, and nobody came to see me until 10 PM since 12 am.

When I returned to the hospital yesterday for a fer injection, the doctor requested a blood test, but nobody took blood for the test. Finally, the doctor did it. Your services are incredibly slow, yet you demand things from patients without even proper communication. It’s terrible service.

The woman I spoke to didn’t like it when I explained that I haven’t received the letter, so why did she dare to threaten me with charges and updates to my GP? She didn't like that. She hung up the phone, claiming that she felt intimidated by me. How rude and weak are you? Why? Because I said, I could prove that she created anxiety in a patient with an already vulnerable health for no reason? You think you are entitled to threaten me, and I have to feel fear of you?

The whole experience has been horrific. I used NHS services to feel better, not worse. It's unbelievable to witness such a lack of responsibility for errors made on your part!
I didn't have any reason to avoid responding; I just had to prove my settle status with a shared code; it was so easy! Terrible, terrible and rude! You think with your fake thank you and sorry you are polite! Ridiculous

Absolutely spectacular service ! I was rushed here after collapsing in a restaurant from a seizure. Everyone was very professional down from the paramedics that drove me in to the doctors that conducted tests and stabilised me.
Not that I want to return, but If you've got to go into A&E this is the one to be in. Thank you MRI.

I am under the care of the cardiac centre at MRI. Every single professional that has been involved with my care from the initial onset of greeting me at reception, undergoing surgery and the post procedure care has been kind, supportive and very knowledgeable. The care I have received has been second to none. I don't think people realise until you're placed in a vulnerable position with your health how valued support like this is. The information given about my condition and the procedure has been given in both verbal and written, easy to understand format. Thankyou ❤️
