I know ROH is under pressure but my experience has been positive. I am being treated in S TEC at the moment. I have been seen quickly and just waiting for blood results. Staff are kind polite and friendly. Because of the doctors observation here it is possible that she has resolved several health problems I have had. Unfortunately I have been on here several times over the years and have always been treated with respect and kindness. Of course I have had to wait, I'm sure the nurses and doctors don't want that anymore than we do.

Terrible experience in maternity department F3.
After having c-section nurses treat you like a piece of sheets there’s no privacy or respect. Nurses made gossiping of patients, where patients can hear them.
Catering service was awful , they supposed give choices offers the available food at hospital. They get disappeared if you ask for any drinks or a piece of biscuits. They never come back to patient or said that’s not available or with any reason.

I felt very uncomfortable and disappointed

Terrible experience at children's a&e. Only 3 kids in waiting area yet still took 8 hours for a&e dr to see us and refer to paediatric Dr.
Paediatrics were even worse. They say we are 'next to be seen' yet still sat there 3.5hrs later. How they expect a <1 Yr old to last in a waiting room for 12 hours is mad. Once admitted, the children's unit O&A staff were awful. Nobody cared. Will never use Oldham hospital again.

I am leavening this review because the care I received yesterday at the Royal Oldham deserved 10/10 . From calling 111 yesterday and attending A & E at the Royal Oldham for me the service was excellent! A big thank you to Vicky who I saw in the emergency treatment room was so knowledgeable , kind and she made me laugh . The whole of the A&E was full to the brim I don’t know how the staff cope but my experience is they do a wonderful job .

A huge debt of thanks to the staff at A&E at ROH from the reception staff, cleaning staff, coffee ladies, nursing staff, doctors and consultants for looking after me so well under extremely difficult circumstances during my 30 hour stay at the Urgent Treatment Section recently. There were simply no beds available which is inevitable with the closure of Rochdale A&E and no extra capacity or resources afforded to ROH to deal with the massive amount of additional patients this has inevitably generated. The staff did their very best to care for patients who needed secondary care treatment, such as me, in such extreme circumstances. You are all inspirational people and are incredibly valued and respected. Thank you for all that you do. You are not to blame for a system that is no longer fit for purpose in its current format.

I have used this hospital myself for routine and emergency care for both myself and my child. In both instances the care has been fast, thorough and to a great standard. No complaints, can’t thank the staff enough.

We visited the area in a group on 6th March when one of our group had an accident and was taken to Oldham A and E. The quality of care and the concern shown for our overall welfare was fantastic . All the staff we met were unfailingly efficient, helpful and kind. Congratulations and thank you to all concerned.

Attended A&E this weekend. The staff never stop running around trying to sort patients out, it must be very stressful for them.
I was there 18 hours in total, not the best experience but I did have all the investigations I needed and was discharged with positive news.

The chairs in the Urgent Care Service are metal and extremely uncomfortable ( especially with a back injury). They did find me a trolley which was slightly more comfortable
