I received emergency dental treatment at Jennyfields Dental Practice after calling 111 in absolute agony in the left side of my mouth.

I was in so much pain that I couldn't tell which tooth was causing pain, or even if it was the top or bottom!

I hadn't seen a dentist for atleast 10 years, probably longer 🙈, due to various reasons including anxiety.

I arrived at the practice and was taken straight through by a very friendly young lady dentist. I immediately explained that I had not been to the dentist for many years and expressed my anxiety regarding dental visits. For me, it's not so much the injections but the drilling and scraping, especially if you're already in pain.

She was so so gentle and considerate of my worries, and at nearly 40, I'm not ashamed to say I asked to hold the dental nurses hand through out the procedure.

It was my wisdom tooth causing the pain and after 3 small injections and 30 seconds pulling, the tooth was out and the relief I felt was unbelievable. Not just to have the culprit out but to know that there is really no reason to fear the dentist, especially if you are totally upfront with what a scaredy cat you are!!
