My 92 year old mother was admitted to Cynthia Spencer Hospice recently from NGH. The care mum received was absolutely a wonder to behold. Every member of staff caring and compassionate. Not just to the patients but also reassuring and supporting family members. Such an uplifting place where life is celebrated and enjoyed each day. I felt they treated mum as they would have treated their own beloved family. Words cannot express my gratitude to these angels from heaven working on earth. Remarkable and humbling. Thank you.

If you have ever need to come here patient or family please don't be scared, It truly is the most beautiful place. The staff are lovely but also so discreet that you don't feel like your loosing control or having your time taken away by medical staff. The grounds in witch it sits are perfect for reflection and peace. My 5 year old loved going to Nonna's hospital home and was always made to feel welcome, and Easter egg hunt was held while we were there with a choir and the bird watching from my mum's bed was so calming. Honestly couldn't recommend this team enough.

What a wonderful place Cynthia Spencer Hospice is. My Mother recently passed away and I cannot praise all the staff highly enough for there care & compassion. The Doctors & Nurses were wonderful at communicating & keeping us updated about Mum. COVID restrictions made a difficult situation so much more harder to bear and the staff really understood this and were able to find ways to keep us in touch. Mum passed away peacefully at the end and apart from her home I couldn’t have wished for a better place for her to be.

Very good place, Nurses are always available and there’s loads of them so that’s even better, my Nan is currently there under medical supervision and when I was last in on Tuesday she was cared for she was surrounded by family and nurses making sure she was alright and that if anything happens then they can help her right away

Cannot praise this wonderful place highly enough. The staff are so caring and easily accessible to answer any questions/queries. Made a very difficult and emotional time easier to bear. Patients are treated with dignity and respect and families with empathy - they have a true vocation. Thank you does not seem enough

Top quality care with a very high ratio of staff to patients. Nothing is too much trouble, you only have too ask. There is access to local shops which are only a short walk away. The grounds are mature coniferous woodlands with plenty of well seated rest areas. The only quibble is that it is difficult to get breakfast before 8.30am.

Outstanding Not in my recent experience. Bullish and inconsiderate treatment for families who are not consulted but expected to jump at their command. Phoned to complain today and was given the name of a next of kin none of us knew! I suppose they did get right when I asked if the could please check the correct patients name but does it give me confidence....i think thats a NO! Despite being a GSF centre they have caused significant distress and irreparable damage to the family of a dying patient. Well done!!!
