They Have been supplying care for My dad for over 20 years And Supplying care for me For under a month. After I had trouble With another care Company I changed to lauriem and was the best decision I made. Amazing group of Carers. They Will do absolutely anything they can to go above and beyond for both myself and My father. They even take the time to have a Chat with you. Also Dog friendly which is a massive Bonus for us. Awful awful company. They absolutely should lose their KCC contract. From day one we had issues with them. Lots of complaints to social services about the complete lack of care given over almost a two year period. Lots of promises of improvements from management that never lasted more than a few days. I’ve watched carers on CCTV that we’re supposed to be on 30 minute calls in and out in 14 minutes, 7 minutes of which was spent looking at their phone. Fresh food was ordered weekly by me and constantly not used properly and left to go rotten in the fridge and then not disposed of, this was a regular complaint. Photos attached is three weeks worth of salad not even used and left to go rotten. Excuse after excuse given by management. All they wanted to cook was Microwave meals, quick and easy. We discovered medication not issued. Another complaint to social services. Management concocted a story that it was refused. Funny how this was never mentioned to us at the time and there was no record of refusal in the attendance book, just made up by the management as they know it would be hard to disprove. Carers seen in the property not wearing masks or gloves etc during the height of COVID. Surprise surprise my elderly mother who was housebound tested positive. Despite it being on the care plan, carers failed to change clothing (underwear) daily and my elderly mother was left in the same clothes for days. Thankfully we don’t have to use them anymore. They aren’t even worth one star. If you get a choice don’t go with Lauriem they provide a very substandard level of care. I think a lot of the 5 star reviews are staff by the looks of the names.

This company’s carer’s are for the most part excellent, however the office staff are awful.
It would help if they stopped lying when speaking to service users, and their families , and making impossible demands on their carers when booking them in for calls e.g. booking a carer in for a 45 minute, and then 15 minutes later book them to start the next call, which is a 20 minute car drive. Absolutely disgusting. If I had my way Lauriem would have their Social Services contact taken off them, and all the office staff should be sacked.
All the management of this company care about is lining their own pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable people in society, and they couldn’t care less about the people that they are supposed to be providing a service to.

Usually 5* but at the weekends the service has been terrible especially on a Sunday
Ive been flexible saying ill have my wash with my lunch call.
First time it was fine, then 12.15 they turned up so i had no wash as muy dinner has to be collected from downstairs at 12 ish for which im time critical for.
Then again no wash because of no staff and no time for wash and lunch.
Today i was asked about wash with lunch.
I was then told they are having trouble getting my lunch call covered. I had to ask someone here where i live to get my food. I cannot get down and back for dinner which is why i have a lunchtime carer. The eople here are not meant to bring food up as people have carers for that
Ive no idea what time im going to have a wash now. Its 12.46
Im just so upset with no lunch call and no washes after being flexible

Laureum have been providing care for my mother since 2019. The care package was originally set for 2 visits/day but after a series of falls, the package was extended to 4 visits/day. I don’t know how we would have coped without the professionalism and kindness of all of her carers. Their daily visits are something my mother looks forward to. We feel very fortunate that Laureum are looking after my 93 year old mother.

Poor. They took over another company. Then gave only a weeks notice that they were not going to continue home visits or care. It was only because Social Services complained that they agreed to continue the care until other care was found. The other companies either do not service our area or are unable to take on additional customers or are so expensive that we cannot afford the rates that they charge. Lauriem then discontinued the contract for care without discussion and refuse to temporarily re-instate any care. With an aged parent who cannot care for herself and myself in Full Time Work Lauriem have failed to return telephone messages or to show any compassion or care what so ever. And the treatment of their non contract staff is disgusting. Do Not Use Them.

The carers are wonderful. Poor communication from co ordination team. Changed agreed scheduled times without communication. Put in formal complaint. 2 days later given notice that care provision will stop in one week. Coincidence! Avoid.
