I was recommended here by a friend for immediate post operation rehab following my full left knee replacement surgery.

I was picked up directly from the hospital and the clinic liaised with the nurses at the hospital, as I had to stay an extra day before I could be transferred.

Fantastic driver and a lovely welcome, when I arrived on the Sunday. Physio is twice a day Monday to Saturday, plus there is hydrotherapy too (I couldn’t use as I couldn’t get my wound wet). The physio team are superb and gave me such confidence in a week with astounding improvement.

I am so pleased I booked here, as it would have been impossible to keep up the physio intensity at home and having someone pushing you and showing you the way immediately after op in my view is vital.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and the last two can be eaten in room or in the dining room. Menu changes daily and is delicious.

Mention should also be given to the nursing and cleaning staff who could not do enough for me during my stay. Lovely people.

Many patients are here following hip operations, so were a little older than me, but this place is great for those in their 40s, 50s and upwards. Physio is vital for young and old post major op, it’s worth spending tome and money on your recovery.

I stayed at Lynden Hill Clinic for a week after a full knee replacement. It was recommended to me by the hospital where I was having my surgery. I am absolutely delighted to have found it. Not only does it give one professional, efficient 24hour care but in my experience all the staff I met were extremely supportive, helpful and kind. To have a week’s respite with them was all I could wish for. In fact I think I shall return for my holidays! Some of their previous guests already do that, and for Christmas as well. The physio team are all very professional and encouraging as it is early days after major surgery. Their sympathetic approach helps enormously.
The food is exceptional and every care is taken by the staff to make one’s stay more comfortable, without exception in my experience. The only reason I didn’t give the clinic 5 stars is because my en-suite toilet needed updating. The toilets are too low for those of us whose legs aren’t that strong! Other than that, they deserve 5 stars.

Thank you to everyone at Lynden Hill Clinic. You all looked after me brilliantly after two lots of knee surgery. The expertise, skill, kindness and patience of everyone at the clinic enabled me to concentrate on my physiotherapy. The skill and encouragement of the physiotherapy team really helped me to understand what I needed to do to improve my mobility. Together you are a great team and I am very lucky to have stayed with you.

Great Experience - Highly Recommend

Following a hip replacement & 2 night hospital stay I went to Lynden Hill for 7 nights in November 2024.

The best thing I ever did - although still in the early stages of recovery (not quite 3 weeks at the time of posting this) I can honestly say, my stay gave me a great start.

All of the team are so wonderful - smiling, cheerful & nothing is too much trouble. All departments - care, physio, catering are all well staffed. I cannot speak highly enough of them all.

I probably did not do justice to the food, beautifully prepared & presented but I lacked an appetite.

Physio is great - so much so that I am now attending as an Outpatient.

Huge thanks to you all. I considered it a mini holiday, a great experience & met some lovely people - both staff & other patients.

Would certainly highly recommend & if ever I need to, I will certainly stay again.

The Lynden Clinic saved me. All the staff from Reception, Dining and Nursing to Physio were friendly, caring and professional - nothing was too much trouble and the nursing care was 24/7.
Special praise must go to Emerson, a physio. He was and still is my ‘comfort blanket’ - I continue to go as an outpatient. The recuperation can be tough at times and thanks mainly to Emerson, I am mentally stronger. As a result, on discharge from the hospital Consultant, my knee earned praise for its progress.
Thank you Lynden and I shall sing your praises to everyone I know.

I spend 7 days at Lynden Hill after my hip replacement and the physio department was excellent. I was glad to have help with the pain management and apart from one nurse who hadn’t read my hospital discharge notes at admission and hence made the process a little annoying, all other nurses and carers were very good. The catering was nice and staff very accommodating. If I were asked to criticise something I would say the old fashioned rooms and bathrooms are in need of modernisation. All in all staying at Lynden helped my recovery and I would recommend it to friends and family
