My wife was invited for a smear test and was told to book an appointment as soon as possible. Just when you thought this doctors surgery could not get any worse, my wife had a hysterectomy 12 years ago so why would she need a smear test. The reception staff are excellent though and deserve more credit than they get, can we have the old doctors and procedures back please.

Since registered at this GP I have never been able to book an appointment for myself and my family. I called and I was told to fill out an online form which I did only to be told: “Thank you for completing the online triage form. We regret to inform you that our practice has reached full capacity at this time” .

I moved to this place 2 days ago and I was having health issues and called them but they told me to book online appointment but I wasn’t and I don’t get any response. Today when I called for booking blood test again they told me the same thing they can’t do anything we have to book online. What kind of service is this. If we only want to book online appointment then why they are opening this clinic. It’s really a shame that this service is not useful for people.

Excellent Service from the moment I made the call for an appointment to the moment I left the surgery after my appointment. The GP that seen me was very kind, listened very carefully to me, prescribed the correct medication, and above all was totally " Professional & Patient '. Highly Recommend The Thorndike Partnership. Thank You

Even though I am registered here, experiencing hearing loss and possibly a ruptured eardrum/ear infection, this practice has just denied me an appointment because they are at full capacity. Additionally, when I first registered with them a few years ago, they lost my registration paperwork and I had to re-register after I had noticed they had not mailed me any registration confirmation documents. They are incredibly inefficient. Thorndike, since you are denying patients medical attention, perhaps you should either expand or transfer patients to a different surgery.

What an amazing surgery, I asked for a repeat prescription yesterday morning, and I asked if possible as I was going away Friday to fast track. I received a call today to say my prescription is ready at bod pharmacy. Having been in Sittingbourne for 7 years I know a bad surgery, Best surgery just like the olden days, so thank you all very much for all you do.

I was invited in for a smear test which I booked immediately. I also contacted the GP to say I’d moved house and they sent me back an email saying I was outside the catchment area with a change of address form attached. NO mention of being removed from the system or cancelled. I replied stating I would bring it with me to my appointment. I arrived for my smear test and they notified me I had been removed from the system. I asked why I hadn’t been notified and they said: ‘well we sent you a letter’. Yes. They sent a letter. TO MY OLD ADDRESS. I pointed out that I had my forms with me and they explained that in the letter I was told I would need to find a closer GP (which had been my intention once my smear test was done as it’s an important thing to get checked!). Additionally, I read the letter they sent me which said I would be removed from the system 30 days from the date of the letter. The date of letter was 20th January and my smear test of 7th feb!! I may not be a whizz at maths but that is NOT 30days. I asked them what could be done and was basically told ‘the letter (THE LETTER I DIDNT GET) says I have to find a new GP- so that’s what needs to be done’. Although the lady at reception was lovely and clearly felt bad, I did feel like they fobbed me off. It was my first smear so I had been worrying all day and after leaving I actually burst into tears. Very disappointed with how this was handled.

After a hearing test in Chatham I completed the online Triage assessment form on Friday, 20/12/2024 morning, I then received a text to inform me I have a face to face with a GP on Saturday 21/12/2024. This was an outstanding performance from all at the Thorndike partnership. The receptionist greeted me with a lovely smile and a very positive attitude. Well done to all at the Thorndike practice.
