I have visited this practice twice now and I have been impressed with the prompt service and kindness of the GPs that are based there.

This particular surgery seems more caring than the others who are part of the same group of practices and on both occasions it has been a short waiting time.

If I lived closer I would request to be seen by GPs here as opposed to the others that are in the town as I feel you are actually listened to with a degree of sympathy.

My only moan is that I needed two different medicines and they were put on two different prescriptions so I had to pay for both separately. Doubling the cost.

Plenty of parking available with allievates some of the stress with visiting a GP.

I used the nhs app to access e consult at 7.30 am I received a call from the surgery at 10.00 am informing me the information I sent had been reviewed and arrangements were made for a prescription to be sent to my local pharmacy and a follow up was arranged Absolutely brilliant service. Well done. McKenzie Group Practice My five star score is well overdue. In the past I have found the clinicians and staff to be excellent. I was promptly referred prior to a cancer diagnosis The nurse practitioner was so caring and followed up with phone calls. Reception staff are always helpful. Clinicians are great I would highly recommend this practice

absolutely terrible practice, staff are rude especially the meds team. They made a mistake with my medication and only gave me 2 weeks worth, and I wasn't allowed anymore for another 8 weeks. My prescriptions are already expensive enough but to be only given 2 weeks worth. They wouldn't correct their error and instead were rude and gave me a lecture. I said I just want help, she said she was helping by lecturing me and telling me to all at 8 am to an impossible line to get through on, as they never answer and book an appointment.

Do not answer the phone and very unprofessional when they do, this is the worst surgery/doctors I have ever been in. They have also sent me texts about another patients prescriptions in the past (breach of confidentiality). These are absolutely useless and would strongly advise you not register here if possible. They also had down that I had examinations when I did not, arguing the fact it was Infront of them, I would know being the patient! .. obviously they weren't reading from MY notes ..

Absolute terrible service.
Have to ring from 8.30am, after hundreds of times trying to get through, rude receptionists, speak to you like their better then you, no appointments.
Was like this before covid and it's gotten drastically worse since.
They have 5 linked surgeries and yet you still can't be seen by a doctor.
Covid jabs no problem, just anything else is a no go.

I've had both of my covid vaccinations at this medical practise. The nurse team was fabulous and made everyone feel very safe and well cared for. The whole process was very efficient.

I had my first covid vaccine on 31/12/20
I would like to commend the team with very good co ordination of each stage of receiving the vaccine, it was really fluid and professional but also friendly.
I'm here again today having my 2nd vaccine and its ran very smoothly again, good social distancing and very well Co coordinated extremely well, friendly staff giving lots of help and reassurance at each stage, I think this experience is one of the best in the country and the hartlepool mekencey house team should be given credit.
