I had a scar on my forehead for few months and lost confidence and had anxiety. I was looking online for some help and I came across the Skin Camouflage Service and by looking at the reviews I decided to go ahead with it. Vanessa was absolutely brilliant with me on the phone and reassured me and was happy to help. We arranged a date for me to attend and meeting her in person was welcoming and made me feel comfortable. We had a quick chat and then Vanessa started to match my skin tone with the pigmentations, it took a few attempts but she found the right tone for my scar to be covered. I recently went to see Vanessa with my daughter and from the moment we stepped inside her consultation room we were met with complete warmth and a friendly smile. Vanessa made us both feel completely relaxed and at ease. She took time to explain to us the process of what would happen and answered all of our questions. Then she worked her magic! She took meticulous care to match the colours to the skin tone and the end result was simply WOW! You could no longer see the scar.... just incredible! Vanessa then showed my daughter how to apply the camouflage colours herself and so we left not just incredibly happy with the results but also with the confidence that my daughter would be able to create the same result at home. Vanessa is a lovely bobbly lady that made our visit extremely welcoming and made my 11 year old daughter feel at ease. It was the hottest day of the year but Vanessa still managed to get the job done. She showed us step by step on how to apply the makeup in the right way and answered all our questions. After the 2 hour appointment my daughter was so happy with the result and feels more confident to go out with the makeup on. Vanessa will help in any way she can, even telephone appointments if you are having any trouble applying the makeup. Would highly recommend.

I have to say that I was quite nervous about my appointment with Vanessa as my scar causes me a great deal of anxiety, but I had no need to worry at all as she is so friendly and professional that she made myself and my husband who attended the appointment with me feel completely at ease.
After Vanessa had applied the make up to my scar I became overwhelmed as I couldn't believe how the scar just vanished before my eyes. This is going to make such a difference to my life and I would highly recommend Vanessa and the treatment to anyone needing to cover a scar, Adele Smith-Hardy.

I was quite apprehensive before my visit to Vanessa, I needn't have been. Vanessa made me feel at ease throughout the whole appointment, she is very professional and what a lovely lady...
I have had facial surgery due to cancer and it causes me a great deal of anxiety just going out anywhere. Vanessa applied the camouflage make up and matched it to my skin colour so well that the scarring was hardly visible at all. Not only that, Vanessa also talked me through in detail how to apply it properly myself.
I can't tell you how much this will help me and will I' m sure give me more confidence to go out more and not be as self conscious every time I need to speak to someone.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Vanessa to anyone with any type of scarring.

As a young person I was quite nervous to undergo the skin camouflage treatment but as I arrived and met Vanessa I realised there was nothing to be worried about. Vanessa was lovely, friendly, understanding and made me feel at ease and comfortable for the whole 2hour consultation. For 2 years I have suffered with scarring and it's restricted me and impacted my life so much but now after seeing Vanessa I feel there's hope and I have so much more confidence knowing I will no longer have to hide my scars and I can go out wearing whatever I like! Vanessa was totally non judgemental of my situation and she spoke to me in detail about everything she was doing step by step and gave me lots of advice on colours, skin care and how to apply the creams ect. My Daughter says Vanessa was very welcoming kind caring and made her feel at ease.

I recently attended the Harrogate Clinic with my daughter who is 8 and has Vitiligo. From the initial phone call to the actual consultation Vanessa was really empathetic and supportive. She was able to accomodate an early appointment and then was absolutely brilliant at engaging my daughter throughout her consultation and during the colour match process. She simplified the routine of application so my daughter could apply it herself. Her aftercare is ongoing and tailored to my daughters needs. At the end to see my daughter so happy was absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend the service and am reassured that we can utilise the service as and when needed.
