Accolade looked after my aunt for 4 years. Initially, it was assisting in personal care and serving her meals. After 2 years, frailty gained control, my aunt took to her bed, and she relied heavily on her Accolade team. Without any fuss Accolade adapted their visits, taking on more and more. Throughout this time my aunt was treated with the utmost respect; the team engaged her in conversation; they would ask her opinion and gave her choices; genuinely interested in the person they had come to visit whilst at the same time juggling all the tasks they had to get through.

Accolade were by my aunt’s side to the very end, always forward thinking, adapting their care provision and taking initiative to improve her life as much as they could. This would sometimes mean contacting her doctor or the district nurse team, whilst at the same time keeping her Power of Attorney fully up to date with any action taken.

Using the Birdie app was invaluable, it meant my aunt’s close family could keep up to date with every care visit immediately it had happened – this removed much stress in our lives and gave us immense confidence in the Accolade team.

The Accolade main office was always accessible by phone or email and the entire team were friendly and approachable whilst demonstrating a high level of professionalism and knowledge of my aunt’s ever-changing needs.

Thank you to every member of Accolade – including those who have retired – you know who you are. You are as good as you are because of the sound procedures you must have in place and the leadership which clearly values its team members. I wish you continued success.

The support and care Accolade have given my parents has been wonderful. When we needed to increase the amount and type of care required following dad's hospital admission, they were able to provide this very promptly, allowing him to be discharged quickly. They continued to be so caring, professional and supportive during his final days and remain so with mum now. The staff always treated my parents with respect and dignity, whilst also enjoying times of humour together. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care.

Accolade cared for my mum in her home from August 2020 till October 2021 ,when she then had to go into a nursing home as her care needs changed. I cannot recommend this company enough. Choosing a care company for my Dads care was a daunting task for us, but after 17 years of seeing my Mum turn from a wife to a full-time carer we reached the sad realisation that my Dad needed either full time residential care or for us to reach out for help.
As we had always promised my Dad that he would never go into a home we knew we had to explore other options. Thankfully, we found Accolade who have quite frankly been amazing. They have not only provided the utmost care, attention and dignity to my Dad, but they have given emotional support and eased the physical demand on my Mum. I have nothing but praise for this organisation. They cared for my mum for around six months before she died . We had moved her care from another organisation on the recommendation of a previous client of theirs. From the manager Sylwia to the carers - you couldn’t get nicer people. They were utterly professional in every way but completely caring. There was continuity of care in that the same people went to her and. before they started they paid an introductory visit so that she got to know them before they started. They also sent me a copy of the rota each week. I live 150 miles away from Cheltenham and the staff liaised with me if there were any concerns . Above all else my mum was happy! She could be quite demanding and fussy but she herself had nothing but praise for everyone. I owe Accolade a huge debt of thanks because without their care I don’t think my mum would have been able to stay in her home until virtually the end.
