Had my operation cancelled 3x. Was told to arrive at 7 am for my surgery and made me wait for 8 hours. Nobody updated me during the entire wait, had to ask the staff who are just laughing at the station. Was the last patient in ward 16. I understand that the NHS has problems but this is really upsetting on the patients part. Builds up anxiety.

Edit: the ward staff are lovely. Was taken to theatre at 3:30pm.

Rude untrained and insensitive call centre and service staff. Not really a hospital environment. More like a morgue unfortunately. Solihull Hospital used to be one of the most recognized and decent hospitals out of all trusts in the region but not now unfortunately. Standards have dropped immensely. Messy and untidy corridors and treatment rooms. UTC staff definitely need customer service training on how to speak to patients/customers. Thanks.

I visit the anticoag department at Solihull Hospital at least once monthly. The receptionist is exceptional and the Anticoagulant Nurse's are excellent, always pleasant and informative. They are a credit to Solihull Hospital. Thank-you.

I would have given more stars if I could. I had my Gallbladder removed last Friday(18/10/2024) & I received the best care I could’ve imagined. I was nervous about the anaesthetic but a person, I forgot their name, they were tall with glasses & had lovely studs in their ears so after sharing my anxiety, they spoke to me & made me so relaxed, I felt like I could’ve had 10 anaesthetics after our chat! So thanks to you. Also, the day/night nurses, doctors, surgeon, anaesthetists & porters were all absolutely beautiful decent human beings. They cared about us & we were their priority. I hadn’t eaten properly for about 3 years so my appetite came back & the nurse noticed I was hungry so she gave me biscuits & offered me a sandwich. I can’t stress enough how much these angels deserve the best from life & I wish every single one of them all the best. Thank you for caring for me, I will never forget how you all treated me. Thanks again. Love from Leanne. P.s I was on ward 15 in bed 6. ♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡

Admitted to Endoscopy Unit today for procedure. Pre op with Sharon was clear and informative. The reception staff were friendly and reassuring. Without exception the staff were excellent, friendly, professional and supportive. Special thanks to Le-le, Vanessa, Amy, Hussain, Julie, Melba and Dr Karandikar. I’ve worked in the health service and today made me very proud. Thank you

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of SEAU at Solihull Hospital for the exceptional care I received during my recent carpal tunnel surgery. From the initial consultation to the post-operative care, every step of the process was handled with professionalism, kindness, and a genuine concern for my well-being.

I'd like to extend special thanks to nurse Mandy, she looked after me and my mom who accompanied with me on the day of my surgery. I also like to extend my most sincere thanks to nurse Pete, his reassuring presence made me felt safe, he also comforted me when I couldn't hold my tears back. The surgeons were also exceptional too, giving what a bad patient I was, they even cheer me up by giving me pretty stitches which I thought they were quite impressive.

Thanks to NHS dedicated efforts, I am already noticing improvements in my symptoms and am optimistic about a full recovery. I deeply appreciate the hard work and commitment of the entire team, especially in these challenging times for healthcare providers.

The dedication of NHS staff to patient welfare is truly inspiring, and I am incredibly thankful for the positive impact you have had on my life.

Thank you NHS.

I took my son for a walk in blood test. The signs to the department were excellent. The process of waiting for the blood test was easy and we were in and out in about 15 minutes. Staff were all lovely and friendly.
