Excellent service. Free, easy parking then a short wait in a pleasant waiting room. Called for my appointment spot on time. Consultant and nursing staff were informative and reassuring. 30 minute appointment, so plenty of time. Letter from consultant following appointment came through my letter box in 48 hours!

Excellent professional staff. So kind and friendly.Theater team were great made me feel at ease. My consultant Mr H was informative and did a great job on my knee.The food and service was 5 star.I had a really comfortable stay with a nice quiet peaceful room Thankyou everyone ? ?

From the first consultation to discharge I cannot fault this hospital at all. Everyone was kind, caring and nothing was too much trouble at all!
I was helped in every way possible which aided my recovery.
Food was excellent despite me not having an appetite. Told to buzz day or night and they would get me toast, biscuits, cake or yogurt but make sure I wasn’t hungry!
Rooms cleaned thoroughly every day (I was in 4 days)
Mr Watts is amazing and saw me a couple of times each day and also called to be updated of my progress!
I was so nervous going in but that was alleviated due to the excellent staff!
Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Because I contacted the private secretary instead of the NHS secretary - that apparently is the same as signing a written agreement to pay £250 for a consultation. I signed no agreement and had no warning that there would be a charge for the consultation. Feeling deceived and that they are a dishonest. Do not trust Dr Thorpe and his secretary. Dr Thorpe is now threatening to send Debt collectors round.

I came to Nuffield Taunton for a open meeting with Mr Paul Ayres and Mr Jamie Coulston RE varicose vein causes and treatments and found the session very informative and useful.

I came in for an arthrocentesis to Taunton Nuffield on Friday, I was always well informed about everything in person, Dr Merrick my surgeon who was lovely and explained everything about the procedure. While in the care of staff, there was not a point I did not feel well looked after. Now recovering at home

So dissapointed to have to write this review. As a first time patient I had high hopes for the Nuffield but unfortunately as the doctor could smell cigarette smoke on me I was belittled and made to feel ignorant. I can appreciate how frustrating it must for doctors who's patients smoke but rather than taking a whole view of why someone's smokes, stress, mental health, etc etc I was made to feel stupid and told that my condition wasn't that bad, that a lot of people get it and it could be with me for the rest of my life. No treatment or suggestions given, constantly interrupted, talked over and condescended throughout the painfully short £200 consultation. Admin staff can't even get your name correct on emails. Not recommended, not worth the money, very sad experience.
