I have been using this service for several years, and it has always been a good experience. Dr Allen has looked after me very well, principally for ADD, anxiety & depression. He is quick to reply, easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Phoenix. There are a number of great specialists at the Clinic. Dr Ahmed, who does some of the ADHD assessments is exemplary. Highly recommend!

I saw one of the ADHD specialists with my 12 year old daughter:
1. appointment was made within a few weeks of the original phone call
2. comprehensive consultation
3. lots of explanation given about the diagnosis
4. lots of questionnaires to fill out - they were sent via secure email (super easy to do); this gave me confidence in the robustness of the diagnosis
5. medication was offered, as well as access to an ADHD coach if needed

I have had a wonderful experience with Phoenix MHS. My family and I were offered swift appointments which allowed is to access the right care ant the right time. Dr Danny Allen followed up with clinical letters immediately allowing us to utilise the information for support systems.

The appointments were very comfortable allowing free expression without being judged. Dr Danny made every effort to increase a sense of self confidence and restore some empowerment. It can be hard to find somewhere everyone feels comfortable enough to just be themselves. Dr Danny Allen provided this safe space for us.

In addition, the user friendly portal has been very easy to navigate. All the little things are pre thought out and covered. We saw another clinician also who was equally as attentive and showed great empathy.

This service has been excellent. After being recommended to me by a friend I would also highly recommend the service.

Do not, under any circumstance, go to this clinic. Run far and find someone else. Their pricing is extortionate, and Dr Danny Allen is abrasive and rude. Trust the Google Reviews here.

I really wish I’d read the Google reviews before selecting Danny because I would have seen that he almost has as many 1 star reviews as 5 star. Mr Allen (after my experience with him he does not deserve to be addressed with the Dr. prefix) created a hostile environment as soon as I entered his room. He was condescending and often rude, and it was clear that he had no time for me. Perhaps he has no time for people that don’t have ADHD (my test results said I probably didn’t but I felt I wanted a psychiatric assessment anyway) – as a paying/insured customer, he treated me with no respect, and when I asked about his tone and negative posture he replied that it’s his personality. How on earth he is still a practicing “Dr” I don’t know, perhaps he is nearing retirement and just taking people’s cash and being an obnoxious human in the process because he can. I’ll be taking my complaint to my insurer and recommending they take him off the preferred psychiatrist list, not that that will make much difference at this point. Read all his replies to the negative reviews as well, its obvious he is not fit to be a Dr.

This review is a warning for anyone new who is considering using Phoenix MHS. I was a patient for nearly four years and right from the outset they have demostated a real lack of care, compassion and are solely focused on generating as much revenue as possible, without fulfilling their obligation to support me under their "shared care agreement". I was diagnosed after a brief online discussion with Dr Allen (40mins) which compared to the information on the NHS website, should be over two hours. Their aftercare is extremely lacking and their receptionist Kathryn is both rude, blasé and somewhat passive aggressive (in my opinion). I have ended my relationship with them and would highly recommend that others seek support & assessment elsewhere.
