Fantastic experience. I’m not registered to the surgery but needed to contact them for a family member. Initial phone call was conducted with care and understanding and upon visiting to collect a prescription was again treated with great empathy. Thanks to all.

I have been registered at Lapworth surgery for over 30 years, from the time it was run by the Nicol’s. The surgery is good for appointment availability and not rushed in appointments. The negatives are the receptionists and waiting times, the signing in machine always states 0 minutes wait when in reality it is usually half an hour and often longer.

During a phone conversation with Gareth, I mentioned that I was temporarily residing at a different address. Subsequently, every time I have contacted the surgery about my repeat prescription, the receptionist has asked when I will be changing GP's. I have explained that I have no documentation at the address I am staying as it is temporary (6 months) and I am reluctant to try and explain my medical history to a new GP in a 10-minute appointment.

Despite this, the surgery has now written to me (at the address where apparently, I no longer live) to advise ‘I am no longer able to be a patient at Lapworth Surgery’ leaving me with no support or access to medication during this difficult time. Although I understand that policies need to be enforced, I feel like there has been no consideration for how this may make someone feel and falls well below the duty of care they should have for their patients.

This is a very friendly surgery and the 2 doctors are by far the most helpful GP's I've met. They always have time for patients and actually listen to what is wrong and will do their utmost to help.

I deal with many GP surgeries in my daily job and can say I am so happy to be registered at Lapworth myself as they are so much better than every other surgery I deal with.

I have just googled the web to get the telephone number of the Lapworth Surgery and have viewed one of the reviews which I find most questionable.

The review is inconsistent with my total experience of the Lapworth Surgery, which involves many visits and consultations over the years.

I must say I find the Surgery exemplary in every way from the telephone manner of the Receptionists, obtaining an appointment with ease and in good time, the treatment from the specialist Nurse right through to the care and consideration of the Doctors that I deal with.

My Doctor always has the time to see me, I have various ailments and he knows me as a person biologically, he analyses the symptoms, explains everything and then gives his advice, my welfare is well catered for – one could not ask for anything more – I recommend the Surgery to all my friends.

I add I am not from the local community, I live outside the catchment area and I am not retired.

Lapworth ia a progressive and proactive Surgery offering the best Surgery experiences that I have ever experienced, when I first went to the Surgery, the Doctor knew my condition and therefore me, before I walked through the door, he cared, I had not experienced that level of care from a Surgery before. THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!

It was not until I moved away from Lapworth, that I realised how exceptional this surgery is.
Both Doctors are very good at their jobs, Dr Rowland in particular, who is prepared to assist you with concerns etc. far more than any other GP that I have had dealings with...
It just goes to show that this standard of care is available on the NHS, if a practice is run properly....
The residents of Lapworth, who in the past, have made the odd derogatory comments about this surgery, should be grateful..... THEY Don't know how lucky they are.!!!

This surgery is the best thing about Lapworth. Two excellent doctors, who take time with their patients, give detailed useful advice, are pleasant and polite. They put the patient first and the pharmacy on site is an extra bonus. Appointments are generally easy to obtain, sometimes on the same day. This has been voted one of the best Gp practices in the country. We are lucky.

Good very hand Surgery for those who live in and nearby Lapworth. Surgeons very professional and knowledgeable. Minor complaint is that sometimes there can be a 20ish minute wait for your appointment which can be irritating.

The lady on reception on the phone is very rude and unproffessional, I told her I want to register my girlfriend and she said what is the urgency? I said the urgency is my girlfriend is pregnant I asked her how long it would take approximately to get her registered and she carried on her attitude with me and said she doesn't know and that I am lucky because a lot of GP's make you wait weeks, I was being respectful and polite with her just asking g the approximate waiting time and she spoke to me in a very rude way with a sarcastic tone this lady needs to learn her lesson and start respecting the patients.
