I was admitted here back in 2018 when I was very ill with an eating disorder and while I’m aware staff more than likely have changed the fact of a mater they hired an mentally abusive doctor whom mentally affected me more it was to a point where I would be having panic attacks leading up to our weekly meetings 2 days in advance. She said horrific things to any of us who struggled with an ED even if that wasn’t why they were in there I shan’t go into depth of other people’s problems but it was horrific what she said to them. This place is not equipped to deal with eating disorders; during my 8 months there I had no therapy and was mentally abused to the point where my CAMBS team was trying to find me another place to go as they to had witnessed the mental torture I endured as well as there regularly staff whom told my mum to take this higher. Also during my whole time here they never once checked my blood sugars and when I was admitted to a different hospital they were critically low and unstable. This place should be shut down or at least review the mental healths they try to help as an eating disorder should not be one.
