Like most of these so called 'independent' organisations they are nothing more than cheerleaders for the NHS. If you go to them for advice or support because of difficulties with accessing treatment you will get nothing more than being spoken to with disdain, clipped tones and judgment. Their purpose is unclear. They have a total lack of diversity. They will look down their noses at people with mental health problems, autism or just people who aren't middle class like them. Unlike some Healthwatch who actually advocate for patients these operate a "doctor knows best" approach and you will only feel worse about yourself if you try and ask them for help. They seem to suggest their role is one of a talking shop people going feedback on health and social care but will fail to listen to you or treat you with respect if you do.
