Was advised to self refer for counselling following a life changing accident and a diagnosis of PTSD and depression as a result of it. Spent 8 months on a waiting list, I was contacted but never given more than 24 hours notice of an available appointment which when you are seeing multiple healthcare professionals all at once is not a feasible option. There was always a caveat to their appointments, they could see me for one session now but then couldn't continue treatment for another 4 weeks in the future, which is ridiculous, and they don't give you any option or potential to book anything in advance! Ironic given they were able to delay appointments for 4 weeks so they clearly had availability in the future.
I've never dealt with any service that is supposedly there to help you but who makes it impossible to actually access the help around day to day lives.
They don't work weekends and rarely work in the evenings, so clearly mental health issues are only a problem from Monday-Friday 9-5!
Don't waste your time on their wait lists, seek help elsewhere. Maybe another service will have an ounce of compassion and actually be able to help you.

Vita Health Group, who operate Notts Talking Therapies service. Three times I've tried to access this service that's promoted via my GP. Three times you've cancelled at the last minute. You don't do what you say you'll do (none of you do including the GPs you work with) You make promises you can't keep and have failed me completely. Between you and my GP practice I can honestly say I will never access a service again.
You'd think that being owned by Spire Healthcare who had a profit of over a thousand million last year, and 30% of that money coming from providing services to NHS patients you'd do a bit better. But then when you're that rich you can command what you want at the click of a pen and the opening of a cheque book!!!

I'm not going to waste much of my time on this person. Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Craig Brown provided formerly by the Let's Talk Wellbeing service is negligent beyond belief. He's now transferred to Vita. If you're suicidal or depressed to any extent he'll indirectly suggest ways you can top yourself. I've complained to the service and taken it to the ombudsman but they didn't resolve anything. Our own health service and government have blood on their hands.

Edit: Will discuss further but will have same response as before. I wish sessions were recorded if needed in moments like these. If so he would be struck off immediately.

Update: No response from Vita. I guess they'll protect their own even if it means destroying vulnerable people.

Terrible company to work for and for a company that specialises in physiotherapy, mental healthcare and personal wellbeing they caused a decline in my own mental health and sense of worth (had to give 1 star to submit review)

All I can say is that, my experience with Vita Health group has been very poor. After waiting a month for a consultation , I was told there was nothing they could do to help. I was then past over to another group. I forget the name. It was something like First response. I had to wait anther month before a consultation, only to be told the same again. All I know now is that a psychiatrist will be contacting me. I have no idea when. I'm not surprised the suicide rate is so high. The support offered is non existent.
