PLEASE READ CAREFULLY /!\ I was admitted at this hospital in 2020 and I had the worst treatment in my entire life I was abused mentally and physically by the staff, they forced me to take medications that I clearly didn’t need, my belongings were stolen from me everyday and they kept me locked up for over 2 months against my will. I had a leg injury and needed physical therapy no one looked after my leg and I had a big bump afterwards due to lack of assistance which I had to get an operation for later on. If anyone knows how or can help me to sue this hospital would be really helpful ! AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!

Goodmayes Hospital is an amazing place, set on lovely grounds, clean and well designed. The layout and system for visiting is fantastic. The parking is free, simply enter your number plates on the device in the corridor.

The place is spacious, well maintained and organised. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The service here is just a delight.

The residents who have to spend time here are all suffering trauma of one kind or another. They get zero therapy. The staff are either rude or lazy. I noticed 4 patients in 2 days that needed either s plaster, headache pills, HRT and an asthma pump. Thecstaff totally blanked them. Amother resident managed to climb the building whist a member of staff stood right next to her watched her do it . The fire brigade was then needed to get her down.

I asked one of the managers what the rules were when visiting. What i can and can't bring I'm. I got a shrug of the shoulders.

People don't get better in this place. It needs new management and new staff.

This place needs investigating. I'm actively looking how to take this further and make it happen.

My friend went in as a volunteer patient she has been kept in . I made a call on the 9/11/2024
And got the chance to speak with her the receptionist asked who I was to the patient I said a very good friend i then sent her in food which was fine .

I tried calling later on in the evening on the 9/11/2024 I had been asked who I was I explain the same thing as before I’m her good friend I called up earlier on today to speak with her and send her food in they said they would pass me though too the ward she was on I was on hold for 2 mins before someone put down the phone on me .

I called back on the 10/11/2024 to be told I’m not allowed to speak to her unless I have my friends consent witch of course I had from previously speaking to her they asked me what ward she had been put on I said I’m not sure I just have her name her date of birth and all the information of why she’s gone there they said I was not allowed to speak to her and to contact my friend directly knowing they have taken her phone off her . The lady then hanged up the phone so I called back when I called back and asked to speak with a manager she said for what department said anyone who is a manager she then said the hospital is a big place there’s a lot of managers I was I wanted to speak to my friend …. She then goes ohh it’s you so .. I don’t even tell her my name ..she knows she has a good friend calling in trying to check on her and today there coming with a whole different persona she hanged up so I called back
When I asked a doctor on the phone to go pass the message on to my friend he said he could not do that even tho that had done it the day before .
I then went on to ask why the phone kept being put down on me and he said I’m not having a agrument with you and put the phone down .
I’m a grown women my self who is clearly trying to make sure my friend is okay and letting her know I’m thinking off her and she is loved I feel absolutely disgusted by the way I’ve been spoken to and god knows how I’m going to hear from my friend.
This a clear violation of her human rights.

This is the most unprofessional, terribly run hospital I’ve ever had to deal with. The staff are rude, they shout at family and patients. Their spoken and understanding of English is shocking. The liaison between the hospital and family is zero. You have to constantly chase for updates, never get to speak with a doctor and always spoken to abruptly.

The information provided from different staff members is always contradicted. The processes are not in writing nor clear to staff, patients and family.

They strip patients of all belongings and take no care looking after their valuable items. 2 diamond earrings have been stolen from my family member. No compassion shown at all.

I advise anyone who has family in this hospital to call daily / attend the hospital and ensure your loved ones are being treated and cared for correctly.

The place is a shambles!

I had a blood test done at Barley Court. I arrived a bit late to my appointment and I was worried the receptionist would send me away. On the contrary, she welcomed me in and reassured me because I was a bit stressed about doing a blood test for the first time. The male nurse was equally reassuring and I literally felt zero pain when he was drawing my blood. Highly recommend Barley Court, I had an amazing experience!

Visited my brother today was shocked to find staff locked in the office ignoring everyone. Staff are rude and have no patience or compassion. Horrible place, how is anyone supposed to get better in a place like that.
