went into Danbury Medical centre with my husband this week, to collect some test results. The Dr he saw was kind, very genuine and smart! She thought about everything she said, and explained it in the most caring and compassionate way. I was a little emotional waiting for bad news, but i left feeling very positive and feeling like she really cared for my husband. She even followed up several hours later with another idea of a possible treatment plan. I know its easy to jump online and tell everyone what a rubbish time we have with service providers of all sorts of things, i do it myself when angry, but i really felt the need to come online and tell anyone who reads this that they cannot go wrong joining this practice. I want to thank you all for taking a moment of your time to make my husband feel comfortable and not to feel like he is just in the way that his symptoms are in his head.

I visited in person today and was dealt with by Tracey on reception. Tracey was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. Many thanks for your help, you are a credit to the practice.
I am leaving this review as many are quick to complain, but much slower to say when things go well. I have struggled in the past with obtaining appointments so I know things are not perfect, but today’s experience was excellent.
(I have no affiliation with the practice or any staff there)

imagine having mental and physical health problems to then have a system that is shot to bits, stone age protcols, 4 appointments before they even spoke about my back, currently struggl8ng to get an appointment when i have high blood pressure and no meds, its nhs' push for private health care, the receptionists here are the be all and end all of health care, well theres 1 or 2 that are jobsworths but the other ladies are great, new building promotes arrogance, over the road they were fantastic

Need to see a doctor? Little chance at this surgery...
Needed a medicine review so was put on a two month waiting list to then just be sent a form by email... The econsult process is broken and the reception staff are rude and condescending.

12-08-24 : this is an updated review as I can’t leave a new one. Used the E-consult form today and my husbands issue was resolved within the hour. Having used the E-consult a few times now, it has been efficient and suitable for what I needed help with.
15/09/23: although it took 126 redials to get in a queue, receptionist extremely helpful and by 09:15, an excellent clinician had called and medical problem resolved.
14/09/23: very helpful receptionist, details taken, sadly on call clinician did not call as promised. (See above)
Staff: always helpful and apologetic about lack of appointments.
Doctors/medical team: 10/10
Appointments: A new system is on its way, which hopefully means no more 8am rush to get through.

Recently went in to pick up a prescription, and the ladies in the dispensary who helped me were just so lovely. It was at the end of the day, yet they went out of their way to be so kind and friendly whilst offering good advice. One lady was called Janice, but I also interacted with two blonde ladies. I never write reviews but felt inclined after such lovely service.

Avoid at all costs, disgraceful service
Avoid wasting your time with this particular surgery. The moment you call them, you're subjected to a seemingly endless 10-minute list of options that ultimately lead nowhere. Reception, if you manage to reach them, is staffed by individuals whose arrogance and rudeness surpass any encountered in the realm of customer service.
Furthermore, if you encounter any issue necessitating attention from a doctor, you're required to complete one of their subpar "e-consult" forms online. This online system is in dire need of a thorough review, as it stands out as the most ineffective and poorly designed system I've encountered to date. Coming from an IT background with extensive experience in numerous applications, I find its shortcomings particularly glaring which is unacceptable when needed by individuals seeking medical attention.
Compounding the frustration, access to this form is limited to a window between 8am and 12pm. The system inexplicably "closes" for lunch between 12pm and 2pm, only to reopen from 2pm to 4pm. The notion of an online form closing for lunch raises questions, especially considering the digital nature of the platform. Unfortunately, my work commitments prevent me from utilizing this form during its operational hours, and even during my lunch break, typically between 12pm and 2pm, I remain unable to complete this cumbersome process.
Because of the above, I am unable to address a simple matter such as discussing blood test results from a week ago with a doctor. The sole method of securing an appointment seems to be this inconvenient online form.
Bottom line is, if you encounter any health issue during working hours and are unable to fill out the form, your options are severely limited. Astonishingly, the receptionist, despite being present on the phones, refuses to assist in booking appointments, leaving me perplexed about their role. My concern extends to elderly users or those less tech-savvy who may struggle with this system.
My advice: seek medical assistance elsewhere at the earliest opportunity, get better on your own or accept fate and pass away... receptionists would probably still ask you to fill out an online form with your last few breaths (make sure its not while the online form is on its lunch break though, that would be rude of you)

Went to the medical centre to make an appointment only to see a sign saying you cant book appointments in person, you have to call up. Called them up to make an urgent appointment, they asked me what was wrong, I told them the problem only to be told they had no urgent appointments left (at 8:30 on a Monday morning), and was told that I have to fill in a form instead. Took ages to find the form only to find no appointments available for weeks by which the damage will be done. What an absolute shambles. Siblings have also had difficulties. There are some very suspicious five star reviews on here, probably friends of the receptionists and doctors.
