Only used this agency a few times but that’s due to the fact that I don’t drive 😫
There are always shifts on offer at great rates (usually multiple daily) if you have the transport to get you there.
The agent who contacts me is Qasim and he is always quick to get back to me if I have any queries.
So far so good and has been a great stop gap for me whilst in between jobs.

Suspensions are handed out for cancelling shifts within 3 days of your shift even if you are unwell. So if you are ill for three shifts you will be suspended and they decide when you can rejoin the network. So this will make people turn up to work ill and risk making errors. No. Don’t book via agency’s. Go direct, employers are far more understanding. Oh and if your shift gets cancelled because of an error on their part (which they will blame the company for), you will not get paid and just get a silly little apology instead. Lovely. 👍🏻 I no longer use start locum. I haven’t used my actual name because I would not like to receive any messages from start locum either to discuss the matter now. The discussions happened at the time and didn’t change anything. I was never paid for a shift because they had me booked me on the wrong day. Left me without work and I was not compensated. You need us more than we need you, we can just go direct. Cut the suspensions and be more considerate to humans.

Started off using StartLocum as a dispenser. There is always plenty of work with good rates being offered. There is a range of shifts depending
on your travel arrangements. I'm still using the platform as a pharmacist. Qasim is very helpful - replying to queries and making you feel supported. Professional, dedicated and very efficient. Would definitely recommend getting in touch if you need work as a pharmacist or dispenser.
