The only reason I am not giving 1 star is Doctor Harrison. She is an excellent doctor, it's such a shame that the receptionists at Watling Road are so incompetent. There is no queuing system on the phone so its pot luck whether you get through to a receptionist or not, and when you do, you mays well be talking to a robot. The boots pharmacy is even worse. their attitudes are awful, they begrudge handing out prescriptions, and have messed mine up every time. And you can never complain, oh no, they give each other looks and you just get attitude. My animals get exceedingly better and more professional customer service at the vets!

Good luck getting an appointment. Receptionist can't book an appointment for you for a day in advance. Phone is busy constantly all morning till they have no more appointments left for that day. Also the receptionist has to know what's wrong with you even if you don't want to tell them since they're aren't actually a doctors or a nurse.

Some of the reception staff at the Watling Road practice lack compassion and basic people skills. It's almost impossible to see a GP because these receptionists are so unhelpful and abrupt. It seems as if they want to say 'no' before you've even finished explaining the situation/problem. None of us choose to be ill, but that's how you're made to feel in this surgery. People are encouraged to reach out for help for various issues, I've heard it advertised on the radio and seen it on the TV, yet experiences like this make people reluctant to and so they feel they have no choice but to suffer in silence. It's a real shame because if you contact the St. Helen Auckland surgery, they can't do enough to help and always go the extra mile. It's bizarre how it's the same medical group yet the level of service is miles apart between the two aforementioned locations. If you can get past reception, then well done but it is very rare.

Excellent care from Nicola Holiday, one of the practice Nurses in recent treatment of my Wife's pressure sores. Timely judgement when it came to prescribing medication and applying the relevant dressings when required. This will ensure a successful hip replacement. Many thanks Nicola

There useless carnt get an appointment for up to two weeks or more every time you want to get in and they have never got my presentation right once..always something missing..or I order a week in advance and it didn't get done...it's not as if the the chemist is miles from the drs it's in the same building

Receptionists very ignorant. Tell people on the phone there are no appointments then someone walks in and says they need to see a doctor and is told to sit down. Review of blood pressure tablets not done just change date. Looking for another surgery

Well sat there & everybody came & went, 20 minutes After my appointment I saw the doctor who only does a 3 day week & 1 day is just phone calls. WHY IS THE NHS NOT WORKING? I paid for my prescription but she didn't have change as most don't pay !!!

So frustrating trying to get an appointment and the female on the phone is so rude and cold. She told me to ring back tomorrow and hung up up abruptly. Very annoyed and not looking forward to actually getting the appointment I need.
