Honestly the team at Calderdale were fantastic. Despite being under pressure and going on a Sunday afternoon the staff were exceptional.
I came into A&E off the back of a 111 referral (who were also very nice), got seen initially with 20minutes. Had my bloods taken an hour later, then diagnosed and booked in for surgery the same day as I had to have an emergency operation in Huddersfield.. again not to sound like a die hard NHS fan but we're also amazing.
At all times my doctors, nurses and paramedics explained what was happening, got me pain relief and reassured me. I haven't been to hospital for anything like this before but we are so lucky to have such a caring team of people looking after us.
Thank you again for everyone that looked after me.

The only thing is i have MS and the chairs are so painful to sit on. I met another lady with MS & she was just the same as me.
She got a wheelchair and yes it was more comfortable but I had been there so long I couldn't remove the pain from before.

Phoned 111 about numbness in left arm and left side of face. They sent an ambulance. Paramedics were absolutely wonderful. So kind and caring. I broke down to them about my struggle with mental health so I agreed with there advice to go with them to hospital. Huge mistake. Horrible nurses. Ignorant, extremely rude! Chewing gum while stood over me doing ecg and a face like thunder while I'm lay there with my breasts exposed. Felt so degraded. Started having a panic attack and was treated like an inconvenience. Heard and saw "so called" nurses mocking me while I'm waiting for psychiatric nurse to see me. Disgusting treatment, uncaring staff, extremely rude, laughing and joking around me while I'm having a meltdown and filthy toilet. Came home feeling much worse. And they expect our support when they go on strike? Not a chance. Never again. I'd give 100 star rating for the ambulance staff and absolute zero for the hospital staff. Totally disgusted!!!

Friday 17th may, the two nurses on shift in the minor injuries unit did a fantastic job patching me up after I stabbed myself. In and out under an hour, that would have been an 8 hour ordeal anywhere else. The NHS is the backbone of our society and the two nurses that treated me tonight showed why we need to fight for it πŸ’™

Had a wonderful experience in A&E today. Accident with an axe that needed stitches. Prompt and very happy reception staff, five miniute wait for triage then straight to minor incidents. Outstanding nurse who was freindly, attentive and informative. Left stitched, bandaged with clean dressings. Thank you to you all, for everything you do.

Rude nurses and rude reception staff.
Ambulance staff were fantastic but hospitals are complete and utter garbage full of moron s that should not be doctors or nurses
