This is my clinic and they have always been very helpful to me! The reception staff I've interacted with are kind and friendly. I don't think it's fair for the reviews to say 2 star when it's actually a really great clinic so I wanted to try and even it out a bit with my own review.

My daughter has always been seen or assessed the same day, I really feel like the care for under 5s here is exceptional. The waiting times can be long and the automated telephone message is grating, but any concerns I have had have always been dealt with promptly and with great care and sensitivity. The admin staff are always friendly and understanding, the doctors, nurses and practitioners really take the time to listen to your concerns and get to the root of the problem. Despite the enormous strain on the NHS at the moment, the staff at Pendle Medical are a real testament to the service.

Really I'll with bronchitis. Told to fill in forms for appt. Didn't even know systems had changed. Was never informed by the practice. Too ill and said couldn't manage. Receptionist just repeating over and over to fill in forms. She said is that ok. Each time I said no. But kept repeating herself until she hung up.

I would give no stars if I could, I rang to book an appointment and firstly the receptionist said no appointments was left and I would have to ring 111 and then I could ask the 111 service to book an appointment with the surgery, after lots of telephone calls I finally get a telephone consultation with one of the doctors, the doctor diagnosed me with having the flu and palmed me off with an inhaler, a couple of days later I wasn’t getting better I was getting worse, I spoke to the 111 service and they recommended I go straight to hospital which I did, it turns out I had a severe chest infection, pneumonia on my lungs and asthma had kicked in, I spent 6 days in hospital on the respiratory ward and a day in ICU where there was talks of them heavily sedating me and putting a tube down my throat, luckily I started to improve and the oxygen I was on with all the other medication was working. It’s 3 weeks later, no contact has been made from the GP for a follow up appointment. I was begging for an appointment at the start of this as I couldn’t breath properly, my oxygen levels had dropped to 80% and the doctors surgery couldn’t care. If they had seen me the day I was asking for help then I might not of been in this situation which has scared me for life! Antibiotics would of worked and I wouldn’t of missed out on 3 weeks of work. I’m disappointed and I will be moving surgery’s.

This surgery is beyond a complete joke. Won't prescribe medications that are needed. Don't listen. My telephone 'appointment' yesterday, the mental health nurse actually shouted over me, leaving me in a worse state than before the appointment. I honestly don't know how they live with themselves at the awful service they provide here.

The new online service is as bad if not worse than calling at 8, hoping you'll get an appointment. I tried to access patient triage at 7am this morning and it kept saying out of hour's, I kept refreshing the page and it had got to 7.30 and still no access. I send a message through about it to be told it will have been full for the day and to call the practice. It was 7am, how is it full and how would ringing at 8 get me an appointment if its full. I absolutely despise trying to get an appointment at Earby. Its nigh on impossible most of the time.
There needs to be a better way. Perhaps going back to the old way and calling when you actually need to see a doctor instead of all and sundrey taking the slots first thing.
Other than that the doctors there are fab but this service is not.

Have tried every option for months to get an appointment with a doctor without getting close. It appears they are using 111 to do their work.
Haven’t seen a doctor since before COVID probably around 5 years.
Ended up having to experiment with my medication without advice which is a worry.
I understand the pressures doctors are under and appreciate their work but it’s like they don’t exist and I certainly feel like I don’t

I really can't understand how this practice has so many negative reviews. The reception staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The GP"s I have had consultations with have been very understanding, caring and very thorough on every occasion. Megan, the health care assistant is lovely. I don't mind waiting a while for an appointment if it's not urgent. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't so difficult to get a same day appointment when I contact the surgery at 08:00. When you ring at 08:00 how on earth can you be 11th in the queue? However, despite that, I would definitely recommend this practice.
