Downland veterinary practice have looked after my pooches since puppyhood. The fur babies have had to have one or two minor investigations, operations, treatments etc. I have ALWAYS been entirely satisfied with the care my fur babies receive. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, skilled, caring, and the dogs said to mention they give them treats ? . Would highly recommend this service ?

I aways recieve a lovely warm reception by all the staff at downlands. Reception staff, practicing vets, care nurses and all other staff alike, are always willing to support the array of animal clients they see with their respected humans, giving the most valuable care and advice to each individual client.

Update still best vets around always manage tk keep my cats calm. They all enjoy their vet visits not keen on the box to get there but theh love all the staff. Spanner has been seen at this practice since birth and never happier as soon as out of thd box. Willow and Tyche go for cuddles
Excellent friendly service. Caring happy staff, explained everything clearly and different options available. My cat was more than happy to be fussed by vet who seemed to have a very calming effect on her. Reception is clean and tidy, cat parking spot is perfect. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for local vet.

Can't help thinking vets ask for procedures just because they know you're insured. You get a different opinion dependent on which vet you see for the same condition.

My dog is very nervous when visiting the vets and both the vet and nurse treated him with care and affection. His distress can make me a little anxious too, and again the vet and nurse were incredibly reassuring.

I generally do not look forward to bringing him to the vet, but this was a pleasant experience and I could not recommend them enough!

On top of this, the receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining options for flea treatment when dispensing prescription.

The vet knew nothing about rabbits/the vaccinations. Also after raising concerns about my rabbit health it was dismissed by the vet however after taking him to another vets the next day in fact I was right, he has got a infection which he is on antibiotics for but should never of been vaccinated till he was better. However the vet nurse was amazing was very clued up about rabbits and I am just grateful she was there.
