I would strongly advise that no one uses this service, especially the Mental Health Team. They are awful and make you feel worse off than what you were beforehand.
Your not spoken to well on the phone, they don't listen, the amount of errors on care plans etc. It's appauling. I had a phone assessment today and the woman was brutal. Hardly listened, interrupted, shut you down whenever you try to talk and then puts words in your mouth.
I would also like to note that most of the staff are eastern European so you will have issues with the language barrier which is not on given what the service is for. Just be careful..

Huge shout out to getting zero response regarding a complaint on a social worker creating lies even after 4 phone calls following up trying to get any form of call back. Thanks a lot. No wonder you have 1.6 stars.

I dont feel there is any real support. Just given medication and left
When I needed help with missing medication. I was dismissed and made to feel stupid for calling (I was told to contact if meds are missing) as if I were wasting this persons time.
Offered counselling. Never get it. Only been 3 years now
I always seem to be put between 2 departments. Stuck in a grey area with a heap of tablets to keep me quiet not a bother to them

Emotional damage, would not recommend

There are more one star reviews than anything above, which speaks for itself and shows how they are failing people with mental health issues. This really should be looked into. It is an unjust service for those who they are meant to help. They are Good at not getting back to your calls, messages and coming out with excuses. Not admitting or denying what they do when they are in the wrong. Quite surprised that they have not been investigated by an outside body from the government for their poor services.

Abysmal service. Great at writing works of fiction. Useless as a Mental Health service. Dropped me and said I had disengaged from the service....Julian Tetteh did not call me back! I left messages with reception, but no one ever contacted me. The letter Dr. Banginski wrote to my GP was laughably nonsensical. My discharge letter was full of serious errors. Thank god my sister is a Barrister. This place should be closed down.

There is an innate lack of care and compassion amongst the team at St. Mary's. There are a couple of staff there who seem to genuinely care but what I have come into contact with predominantly is a plethora of consultants who not only insult the mental wellbeing of their patients but also minimise all of their struggles.

Not only has this been my experience but also that of family members. It wasn't until I used a service outside of this one that I actually got help and spoke to a consultant who seemed to actually care about me and wrote exactly what I told them.

Sadly this appears to be quite a common occourance. This service needs a real overhaul.

Basically the whole experience has been horrific. They don’t deserve any stars, can’t get rid of that one. Baginski is a nightmare. Not a good word to say about him

I would receive better mental health support at Asda than st Mary's. The higher up the chain you get the worse it gets. Instead of supporting me up to and when I go to court, I've just been told that a support letter is no good. To dress smart, pretend I'm a nice person and don't let them know I've got mental health problems. Discusting.
