I had an appointment with Dr. Katija Hunt at Chapel House Primary Care Centre last week, and I cannot express enough gratitude for her exceptional care, kindness, and support. She is not only a brilliant doctor but also a wonderful human being who genuinely cares for her patients.

She listened to me patiently, addressed my concerns with empathy, and took immediate action to ensure I received the necessary care without unnecessary delays. She also provided moral support, making me feel completely at ease. Despite my health issues, I left the clinic feeling happy and reassured—a testament to her professionalism and warmth.

Every doctor should embody the same dedication and compassion as Dr. Hunt. She truly made my day, and I sincerely appreciate everything she has done for me. I wish her a bright future!

I wrote a complaint to the practice manager a few months ago after one of the receptionists blatantly lied about me. I have yet to receive a response. It seems like the staff can treat patients in any way they choose to with no redress. This has been logged with the CQC along with other complaints.

UPDATE: See the response below. I have now emailed Katy direct forwarding my original complaint and advising her to take her gaslighting corporate speech as seen below, and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.

I have never left a review for anything ever but the care and support I have received from this practice over the past 2 years is second to none. This is a more personal review for one particular gp, Dr Rachel Thompson.
She is the most compassionate, sympathetic, empathetic doctor I have ever interacted with and that’s across the board in the medical field.

I have been a patient at this practice since birth and I am now in my 40’s. Over my adult life I have struggled with my mental health and always found Dr Sarah Price, Dr Andrew Price and Dr Needham to be the gp’s that were most compassionate regarding mental health and never thought they’d be able to replace such great gp’s, however Dr Rachel Thompson has by far matched if not exceeded the care that those gp’s provided. It is clear from the care Dr Rachel Thompson provides that she didn’t choose a career in medicine for financial reasons but because she truly cares about the health of her patients. I am so grateful to her for the care, support, understanding and compassion she has shown me during the past two years, she has restored my faith in humanity.

I am still in my recovery, but being where I am today would not have been possible without the care received by Dr Rachel Thompson.

If you’re thinking of switching practices I would recommend Holmside Medical Group, I’m sure there are an abundance of fantastic gp’s at the surgery, however Dr Rachel Thompson is worth her weight in gold, she makes the practice what it is. I’m thrilled to know she is one of the partners in the practice.

My most recent appointment was with Dr Singh. His patient manner is genuinely caring, he listened to me, he reassured me and l left feeling supported and far more at ease than when l went in. This is a very good practice who go that extra mile for their patients.
