Update: 2+ weeks and surgery ignore phonecalls. It's not normal to be on hold every morning 8am sharp for over an hour and for them not to answer. We've physically seen phonecalls being ignored. Ridiculous.

Since moving to Halesowen this has been the worst gp surgery I have ever been registered to.

You call at 8am sharp and are on hold for 30+ minutes, they cut you off after a while and you end up unable to book an appointment.

My husband had to go into the surgery to get me booked in after taking time off work.

I've been with this GP for 4 years. I've never struggled to get an appointment same day if I call at 8am, or if for the children I've been able to at least have a same day telephone consultation. The staff have always been kind, patient and caring, and excellent with the children. When I had a serious health concern a few months ago, I called at 8am, saw Dr Stannard at 9am and she immediately called the SDEC at RHH and got me in to see the hospital for all scans and blood tests the same day.
Best GP I've ever been to.

I would like to wholeheartedly praise Mrs Latta.
She made me feel very comfortable and constantly reminded me about my appointment before and on the day.

Dr Sam is possible the worst healthcare staff I have ever seen. He is arrogant with 0 compassion. When taking my daughter for a illness he openly admitted he could treat her condition but wouldn’t as he didn’t warrant it severe enough for medical intervention and ‘should’ go away on its own which could take months or years he wasn’t sure

Another instant was when I was being tested for cancer - the results were back and the receptionist wouldn’t tell me them over the phone so she booked me a appointment with dr Sam to go through them who confirmed the results were back, the first thing he did was comment on my make of car and asked what I did as a job to afford it ? Moving on to the results but he couldn’t tell me them and he wasn’t the doctor who ordered the test (it was a lot in doctor) visible in tears and upset I went to the desk to book another appointment after dr Sam’s refusal to discuss results and the staff made me another appointment with another doctor - within 5 minutes of leaving the practice dr Sam called me to say to see another doctor was no appropriate and he had revoked my authority to book appointment on the website (which made no difference to me because I didn’t make either appointment online). When I was going through such a scary, worrying time, the compassion and empathy expected from any decent human being was no shown by a DOCTOR no less - and a partner in the practice

There I doctors I cannot fault such as dr stannard and dr Thayer but if I have a problem no I would rather suffer and wait for another doctor then accept a earlier appointment with dr Sam

I am currently waiting for them to answer the telephone. 26 minutes and counting, gave up once this morning after waiting 27 minutes. This needs to be addressed, I keep getting text msg telling me I can do everything on an app book appointments and order prescriptions but in fact no you can't book appointments.... Why don't they get another telephone line or more staff?! Unacceptable.

I know there’s a lot of bad press surrounding GP surgery’s but I have never ever been able to fault Haden Vale ever since I registered here 5 years ago. The ANP Sara is lovely and puts everyone at ease, I think I’ve probably seen every dr here and have never had a bad experience. I’m able to get seen when I need to be seen, and have never had any issues with the reception staff. The team here do a great job and I’m glad to be a patient at the practice.

Been registered since birth and rarely had a problem that wasn’t resolved. Dr. Stannard and Dr. Thayer are both brilliant doctors and are happy to go the extra mile for you. They listen to your problem and will discus treatments which you’re comfortable with and that’s right for you. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I really don’t know why this doctors only has a 3.3 review. This doctors has by FAR been the best doctors I’ve EVER had to deal with. Always at the end of the phone and really, really good with me! Thankyou for giving me the support and reassurance I need!! Dr Stannard is by far the best doctor, who will do more just to help!
