Phoned up was told we had to be registered to a new service in order to make an appointment, by law we are not required and have a right to refuse to be signed up to new services, we then went in to make a complaint and speak to the surgery manager as the rude phone woman said to do .... We where then told they aren't forcing registration to the service try again they will make the appointment.... They did make the appointment by signing us up unknowingly and against our wishes for a service which is breach of law on several fronts data protection for starters fraud as a second .... As much as the woman when we arrived was very kind and understanding we are furious

Reception elderly lady by far is always extremely rude towards anyone and everyone. She has been as long as I can remember. She should really take a good hard look in the mirror and lighten up or leave and get a job which doesn’t cause her to be such an unpleasant person. Not approachable at all.

My recent experience with Seaforth Surgery left much to be desired, particularly in terms of communication and the complaint process. Despite attempting to contact the surgery via their call back service, the outcome was far from satisfactory. My mother dialed the call back service seeking assistance. However, after a brief 31-second conversation, the call was abruptly terminated without any attempt at a callback. This incident raises serious doubts about the reliability and effectiveness of their communication system, especially when patients rely on it for scheduling appointments or seeking medical advice.

Adding to the frustration is the lack of a proper complaint process. It's disheartening to learn that there is no accessible avenue to voice complaints other than physically visiting the surgery and requesting a complaint form or calling another unreliable service. In this digital age, such outdated methods only serve to inconvenience patients further and hinder the resolution of issues.

Overall, my experience with Seaforth Surgery has been disappointing, marked by poor communication and an inadequate complaint process. As a patient, I expect better from healthcare providers, and I hope Seaforth Surgery takes steps to address these shortcomings and improve the overall patient experience.

Just a update
I've had 2 more appointments with this practice since my last review and I can honestly say the doctor, reception and nurse have been amazing.

The doctor got me booked in to see the nurse for blood test and the nurse was brilliant also, nice relaxing atmosphere and running on time.

This is the worst place to seek medical attention in my opinion, yes I'm in the group of SAS because of MH difficulties. They take payment from tax payers but cannot provide the SAS service. Been ringing told someone will ring back but no one does, this has been on numerous occasions in the last 9 days, and today is the final straw, got told a GP will ring today but guess what no one rang again. I've had my phone next to me for last nine days, yes I even taking it to the toilet so I don't miss that important call.

I know there is a shortage of GP's but to be treated like this is despicable.

If you have too many people on your books then don't accept new patients, this would save a lot of stress on patients and probably less stress on the GP.

Just wanted to take the time to leave a review. I’ve had Tonsillitis repeatedly since October. They have got me in multiple times to see a doctor, including a Saturday appointment. I have had tests and a referral. All very well organised.
The phones can take a while to answer but being a receptionist myself that is no fault of the practice. They cannot help the number of calls they receive, so cannot be to blame for that.
Also had a telephone appointment for an unrelated condition and got the call 10 minutes after the appointment was arranged.
5 stars for a wonderful team.

Trying to book an appointment for my brother. I was told I would get a call today and no one has called me. When I phone again to see what was happening, I was told I had already been called twice and they couldn't force the doctor to call again. I am happy to provide my call history to prove I have not been contacted as I had my phone with me all day in order to answer. What is the point in being registered to a doctors surgery when you can never even speak to a doctor, just rude receptionists? This is not an isolated incident and I cannot remember the last time I was able to make an appointment with an actual doctor.
