You can now apparently not book appointments for future dates at all- the only appointments you can book are on the day ones, by calling in at 8:30 precisely and hoping that they do not run out by the time you get to the front of the queue. It’s a shame to see how, over the 34 or so years I’ve been at this surgery, it has lost the ability to cope. I don’t know how it could get worse, and I do understand how rough it must be at the moment for the surgery, but patients are not being served effectively and improvements of any kind do not seem to be achievable.

Although it is like getting blood from a stone getting appointment at this surgery. Doctors are generally very good when you do get an appointment. You may only get a telephone appointment but that seems uniform across most surgeries. As an NHS worker I am aware of the pressure the NHS is under. Hopefully things will improve overtime

Cannot make an appointment with the doctor unless you ring at 08.30hrs. I had made an appointment but was only able to se a physio for pain of my legs and knees, he gave me an excersise sheet and advised me to use 2 walking stickes as I told him my knees give way sometimes, to this day a doctor has not got in touch. I had already spoken to a Doctor on111after he wrote a pain medication, and his advise was call my doctor, no chance of that. My pain is still on going, I have to walk upstairs using both feet at a time and I am taking 2 Ibuprofen and 2 paracetamol around 4 to 6 hrs a day.

I am so disappointed in that surgery. I have never experienced such a rude, horrible and disgusting treatment by one of the receptionists in Fairford Leys. She raised her voice at me, she ignored me, she was nasty. I only asked if there’s anything else I can do in a polite and kind way.

I have been trying to get on the day appointment for days. I am spending 30 mins an every day to constantly call the surgery ( 8.30am to 9am ).

I can’t wait to move to another surgery.

Yesterday, I had one of the worst experiences at this surgery. The staff and doctors were unhelpful and unprofessional. One of the doctors refused to check my 4-year-old daughter because the receptionist had mistakenly booked an appointment only for my son. My daughter was visibly ill and only needed a quick check of her chest and ears, but the doctor refused, claiming she didn’t have time. Ironically, she spent 10 minutes arguing with me and another 15 minutes double-checking with the receptionist about the appointments. We ended up going to A&E, where we spent 6 hours for someone to identify her infection and prescribe antibiotics—something the GP could have done in 5 minutes. This level of service is inhumane, unacceptable, and needs urgent attention.

The only doctor who has always treated us professionally and with respect is Dr. Jon, for whom I have the utmost respect. Unfortunately, 90% of the staff seem to be there just to do paperwork and look up diagnoses on Google. The service is horrible, and judging by the reviews, many others are experiencing the same issues.

Staff all lovely. But being a patient here is functionally almost the same as not being registered at a GP's surgery. Routine appointment backlog is more than two weeks. The line for on-the-day appointments opens at 8am and is full thirty seconds later. Woefully underequipped to deal with the demand they face.

Whitehill is not my surgery but i deal with them quite often for my mother. I have to say that they have all been great in dealing with a lot of issues regarding my mum’s health. Everyone I’ve spoken to has been really polite and extremely helpful. I would like to thank the team for all their help and quick response and sing their praises as it must be very difficult to deal with the amount of patients they have.
