My Mum went to Waterfield House for respite and decided to stay. Mum passed away last week at the care home at the age of 95. I would like to congratulate the staff on there empathy and kindness to Mum. For myself the communication when Mum was not well was second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend to future clients Waterfield House. Both Mum and I have made many friends.

I first came to waterfield as an agency. I did 13 weeks solid there I picked up all the shifts I was offered as I immediately clicked there with some of the staff and all of the residents. I was asked to become a full time carer there, I jumped at the chance. I took the job as the residents were well looked after. It is a family feel between the staff and the residents. Just under 5 years later and I still walk in there with a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart. I would recommend anybody thinking of having the painful decision of placing a family member anywhere. Have a look at waterfield first.

Really bad experience having a family member in this home. Lack of clarity in their own policies, this is demonstrated by staff members being unclear when sharing information. Communication is exceptionally poor and any challenges are met by aggression and denial. Watching a family member being told to wait and finish a meeting, when she was explaining the chair was causing her pain. Being initially told the family member was going to the home to die, then being told that information was wrong and had been misread. I was very lucky that I could move the family member, only to be told she had sat in her own urine on the final day, as she had been told to wait for the toilet. There is so much more that took place in a short time period. Take care any who place a relative here.

Staffing ratio is a big issue here. At 12 pm some residents are still waiting to have their personal care. Some relatives have been paid off by Runwood Homes to remove their bad reviews from the website so you won't know what is going on there. Do some good to your loved ones, avoid this dead end.

We supplied a case of required clothes.
We went to retrieve the case full of clothes and essentials. Was given a bin liner with minimum items. Attitude was disgusting.
