I complained to a doctor( dr ….) that I just gave birth and i am having pains in my pelvic region. He prescribed a pain killer and my husband asked him is it safe to take while breastfeeding and he said YES. That it will only make the baby sleepy. I started taken it and on the second day my attention was called by our family friend warning me about the pain killer(co-codamol) that i am not suppose to be taking it ATALL and i should call 111. Already my baby breathing has changed and she had be sleeping all through the day i started. Ambulance had to come and take the baby to the hospital.

My question now is why will a Doctor precribe such What if something had happened. He is a junior doctor, he literally was going to ask his supervisor about questions i asked. Atleast trained doctors should be seeing patients and junior can support. I felt really bad for myself and the baby. (A 10 days old baby)The baby i breastfeed only has to start taking formula because the medication is still in my body. Woodview please do better.

I don’t normally have great experience with this practice
I find their way of doing things frustrating for example.. I can ask for prescription to be sent to the pharmacy but do not get confirmation if email was recieved nor if medication is ready for pick up.
Today I dealt with very efficient gentleman on the reception( with slight accent) that explained everything very fast and clearly.
Thank you very much to this particular person🙏

Absolutely disgusting service from woodview, arrogant rude receptionists, almost every appointment comes with a problem, places like this are why nhs don’t deserve the pay rises they expect! Earn your money before demanding it. Hate that I even had to give one star just to leave a review

My mum has been going to this place for years and never has had a bad word to say about the practice. I have recently joined and was very easy process to register. New receptionist Tasha is very friendly and professional (according to my mum) looking forward to meeting my new dentist!

Unsure how anyone can write a bad review for Woodview Medical Centre, I've been with them for over 40yrs, I have always been treated very well, and if I need to see a doctor rarely do I need to wait long to get an appointment. COVID was tough for all, has created some changes, I worked in the General see 7 people go , it was tough, for many in the NHS. I also recognise the staff are human beings, and sometimes like all of us, can have a bad day, may not be so jolly, not so responsive, and come across snappy, think about yourselves before making judgement. Also we are lucky we have a NHS that is free, but it is not there to be abused, and I work in the NHS General Hospital in theatres, so not connected to Woodview, so not biased to them, just honest. Also sometimes we have drugs, and sometimes we don't need them, and things change so don't need them still, don't order them if you do not need them, I have a friend who has a cupboard full off drugs, lots out of date, I said don't order them if you don't need them, they said, but if I don't they'll stop them, no only if you don't need them, and if you don't think you need them, ask the doctor, maybe you don't. So many people do this stockpiling, it is a waste and a massive cost to OUR NHS. Back to Woodview Medical Centre, don't be rude, it's not a right, or an excuse, treat them as you would expect to be treated, understand we all have tough days, be polite, say hello, say good day, their there to help you , if you need it, but don't waste their time, they can then see others that may need their help, we have a great medical centre, appreciate it, 10/10 , 100% , the NHS is a good service, and say thank you.

My family has been registered with this surgery for the last 18 years. We got a lot of support and care for my ailing mother in law till her last moment. All the doctors are very good, especially Dr Shah. She has been brilliant. All the other staff are very friendly and helpful.

I have been registered at the surgery for more than 20 years and have always been looked after really well. Recently I have had fantastic experiences with receptionist Margaret, who couldn't do more for me on the phone when I explained my complex problem. Nurse Rachel who expertly removed staples following surgery & took blood so professionally I never even felt it. Finally the Doctors secretary Pam who went above and beyond to help with me get an appointment with my Consultant at Coventry Hospital. I have been trying since mid June with no joy and after surgery in April no appointment booked at all & complications I was getting desperate. She managed to reach my Consultant who has instructed his team to find me an appointment, and even called me to check I'd received the message with the good news. Fab service
I find that everyone at the surgery is professional especially if you treat them with respect and are kind. The reception staff have always helped me if they can. A little kindness I find goes a long way.
