Mum went in after becoming bedridden following 3 weeks in hospital (norva virus enforced stay)
She started being hoisted out of bed and with work and encouragement she began to stand. Then took steps and practiced getting into bed.
She is now in a care home but is able to use walking frame to get to the toilet and even next door to dining room! Thank you, you gave her life and dignity back!

I am posting on behalf of my mm Sandra. She was in for a long time at the unit and had nothing but praise for everyone working in the unit from the day she went in to today when she left. They treat her with dignity and compassion and even when they were rushed off their feet they still gave outstanding care. The work they do is fantastic and my mum would have probably ended up in a care home if they hadn't took the time and effort to rehabilitate her especially after her experience with the hospital. We cannot thank them enough and wish they got more credit they deserve. Thank you everyone for helping our mum come home x

I have just spent the last 17 days in Cambridge park rehabilitation centre after a nasty fall from a ladder , shattering my wrist and fracturing my pelvis in two places . I just want to say what a thoroughly great experience I had whilst as a resident . From the night I moved in as a wary apprehensive patient I was greeted by lovely caring staff . My room was immediately re arranged to make it more accessible friendly for my needs and by the first morning a thorough physio assessment and programme had been done and put in place . From cleaners to carers to nurses and my ever relentless physio team , Emily Damien Kev and Ally certainly put me through my paces but as the old adage goes no pain no gain .
I can’t believe how far I’ve come in such a short space of time and find myself at home in my own bed one month to the day since my fall and operation . I’ve still a fair way to go with physio and rehab but I’m getting there much faster than I ever could have hoped for .
Thank you everyone at Cambridge Park and a final special mention to the kitchen staff who continuously prepared and served up wonderfully fresh and nutritious and tasty meals . I couldn’t recommend a better place for rehab thank you .

MY WIFE WAS IN HERE FOR QUITE A FEW WEEKS AND I CAN SAY THAT 99% OF THE CARE SHE RECEIVED WAS EXCELLENT FROM THE NURSES, CARE ASSISTANTS KITCHEN STAFF AND CLEANERS. THE 1% WHICH WERE THE PHYSIOTHERAPY "TEAM" NOW THAT'S SOMETHING ELSE. ONE TOLD TOLD MY WIFE IF SHE DIDN'T TRY HARDER SHE WOULD NEVER WALK AGAIN!!!! WHICH REALLY SCARED AND UPSET HER IT'S THE MANNER IN WHICH SHE SAID IT. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING TO TALK TO A 70 YEAR OLD LADY LIKE THAT.

Since this has now been taken over with Care Plus !! It has Restored my feeling towards Cambridge Park. As my mother was in here 6 years ago I wouldn’t have rated it at any stars .As we put a safeguard on her well-being and got her moved into another care home (Fairways. ). However My father is now in Cambridge Park rehabilitation centre having rehabilitation after fracturing his hip . The staff Nurses have been so attentive to my father who is a resident here At present. His confidence is growing every day. After suffering Two Strokes peg fed over the last 6 years ago ! To a fractured hip ..I feel all my fears have gone knowing both parents are getting the care the both deserve!

Don't let a loved one go to this place, patients are treated with no companion or dignity, she was sent there after several days being in the care of the Diana of Wales hospital grimsby where she broke her hip but nobody was prepared to take responsibility, she was then sent here to Cambridge park where she was treated disgustingly by the nursing staff, she waited one day over half an hour for someone to help her to the toilet and couldn't wait any longer so had to try and make her own way therewhen she finally managed to get there it took them forever to come and help her back to her chair, they are made to sit out of bed no matter what there condition until they decide its time for them to go to bed and forced to do things they are not capable of doing. In the past couple of days she was rushed to hospital with a severe chest infection and after having a chest eray was found to have also several broken ribs which happened while in there care, not only that she was found to be under,
so please don't let the person you love and cherish go to this place because they will not be cared for nourished and badly dehydrated xx dementia patients are not cared for .
