I had a really positive experience here when I needed to get an emergency GP appointment. Admin and clinical staff were kind, professional and helpful. I was asked to use an online booking system which I found very clear and simple to use - older people or those unfamiliar with tech may find this more difficult

I’ve always rated Kingswood Surgery highly and been a patient ALL my life! But like all practices it’s not the same since pandemic and I understand that. However after going through the Anima consultation service (!!?) and promptly being given an appointment for 2 weeks ahead which I couldn’t make, I think a little more effort should be made to give you one sooner than 8th November which unfortunately I couldn’t not make either! Said I could book for 11 November onwards but they didn’t have the diaries for that far ahead! It’s very frustrating for someone who almost never bothers the GPs and who had already been assessed by the Anima system and been told I need a face to face appointment! Just saying…

My father stayed with us over Easter and became unwell. We were able to get an appointment for him at the surgery the same day and he was seen by Dr Appleby. He received a thorough consultation and was prescribed medication which alleviated the problem. We were very happy with the prompt and efficient service he received. Thank you to all the staff at the surgery.

Hiya,

I have struggle with (undiagnosed) autism and extremely poor mental health. Due to this I struggle with many of life's tasks that many of you may accomplish thoughtlessly.

I have not felt as though I can approach Kingswood surgery for help. I have done in the past and I feel that I was treated with contempt and disregard. The receptionists are always so rude, despite myself being polite and patient with them.

This has been my GP for as long as I can remember. I have just gotten off of the phone with the receptionist and she said that I could not be seen for almost 4 weeks. I cannot stand for long as I am having pain with my knee and my lift was late so I arranged for a phone appointment, from which the doctor said he would like to see me in person and that i would be seen soon as it would be brief. I have already waited 3 weeks for this appointment. I can't drive, work or go very far.

Every time I go to see this surgery, there is little to no resolution. I have received zero helpful, help for my mental health over the years and as a result I feel at my most suicidal yet.

I feel that due to the lack of (even minor) services provided that my health has paid the price and I feel helpless. I have never in any experience in my lifetime, experienced such a frightening experience than going to this surgery. They (the receptionists) treat patients with condescension and without thought or empathy. In my opinion.

Thank you.

Been a patient for 35 years. Always excellent but times have changed. The pressure on the NHS and the amount of paperwork that has to be attended to means the care is not as personal as one would wish.
