I waited 40 mins today on phone then gave up, didn't get through. When I have got through to someone in the past sometimes they are helpful but I think the phone triage system doesn't really work. It worked better when you actually got the Crisis Resolution people. Now you don't get the acute help you need and as others are saying you tend to get phobbed off or not taken seriously. If you do get the crisis people they are great but just about impossible to get them and the other stupid thing is if you are in the mental health system already, they are supposed to pass the info that you,ve contacted them to your team but they hardly do. And it's so ridiculous when you're really really bad mentally and very unwell that they don't think your bad enough unless you are pretty much in the act of suicide at that moment. Crazy, help people to prevent that, don't wait till it's too late & don't make people wait longer than 15mins when they are so so desperate for help.

The people who work at crisis resolution must be the most unempathetic people to ever walk the earth. They have all the conflict resolution skills of a baboon and could start a war between pacifist monks. I can't imagine how much blood is on their hands due to the substandard 'care' they dish out.

There were multiple times where I was a threat to myself and others but they still sent me home, they don't help you recover, they let you hurt yourself Infront of them and do nothing.

The worst mental health service.
It is very rare to find someone on staff who actually cares and are willing to do anything.
The amount of times suicidal and depressed people have been told to “try holding ice, have a bath, a cup of tea”, is beyond a joke.
As a last resort and hope for people you’d think they would actually do something, they have let me and people I know down time and time again. Then blame you after an attempt for not reaching out, but why would you when experience with them leaves you feeling worthless, pathetic, attention seeking and utterly unimportant. I am aware it’s “the system”, but come on! It’s a complete joke and no wonder our suicide rates are so high. DO BETTER!

I gave one star because I had to in order to have my say. The CRS Team are an awesome group of people who are hog tied by financial and legal constraints. I have fought for and with my daughter for ten years and have experienced poor and no assistance with this 'service'. I'm a Registered Nurse working within Mental Health and that makes no difference. If you have a loved one suffering with mental health issues, hold them close because the NZ Health system is sick itself and won't help you.

Been on hold for nearly an hour now for my partner who is suicidal, I know it's a public holiday but peoples mental health issue DO NOT take days off.

If you're after sound mental health advice. Consult your local publican or bar staff before these clowns.

My friend was told when she mentioned she was suicidal “ok, bye” and hung up on by a lady with an accent. Disgusting human being should be fired.

I would give no star but can't. If your in crisis DO NOT CALL this service. They will not come! Even if youre suffering in the system. I asked how they helped. They could not answer. Total waste of tax payers money. REPLASE.
